This alone enrages me (from the article writer, not sure Corriea calls these out specfiically):

It's 100% some group of pseudo-auteurs who, like so many of us up to the age of 12 or so, watch a shitload of tv/anime and play games all day, so that definitely means they're experts, right?

FF16 badly underperformed, 3,5m copies sold, vs 10m copies ff15 sold, im playing it right now and its visibly worse story/gameplay/characters/dialogues vs ff15 even(im ff series fanatic so i still enjoy it somehow, but its an 8/10 game at most even to me), not to mention true ff giants like ff6/7/8/9/10.
