What's the penalty if you do more roadblocks than you're allowed? Do you get the 30minute penalty like the team in the last ep did, or are you automatically eliminated?

I'm assuming that since it's less a little rule and more of a structural rule, I would assume that there wouldn't be any choice in the matter.

Chip & Kim won the million. If Colin & Christie would've won, I would've said Christie. No, yeah, Memles is right, I'm a racist *yawn*

Actually, I pointed out that Kim was not the only one because I thought you might be one of those lame Colin and Christie fans, who whine that Kim did nothing while ignoring Christie's uselessness. I wasn't referring to racism, that was Memles' joke.

And it's still lame to single out Kim. The final 3 was all teams where the men did all the roadblocks save 1. This new rule is going to be great and help teams like the bowling moms, who were almost totally even in their roadblock performance.

I just watched this weeks show and all i have to say is i can't wait to see one of these guys knock the fuck out of one of these chicks. It's amazing they would put people on Tv with this type of anger problem. Yeah I want to win a million dollors and all but i'm not going to act a stark raving madass over it. I question if the show does background checks to see if some of these dudes haven't went upside their current or former girlfriends head.

Preview of tonight's episode:

Tuesday, November 30 10PM ET/PT

# One Team is hit with a surprise leaving the Pit Stop that lights a fire under them to race hard for the entire leg.

# A simple Detour task turns grueling driving several teams to switch tasks out of frustration, and bringing another team to its knees with exhaustion.

# One Racer is touched by the effort of her teammate, who battles through what seems like an impossible task. Will the Racer's persistence pay off in the end?

# During a Detour, a screaming match between teammates prompts sideline comments from other Teams. Could the constant bickering cause the Team to break down?

Damn, what a shame. The sisters were eliminated. Lena rolled over 100 bails of hay and could not find a clue to save her life. Talk about bad luck.

:lol They got owned by the old couple. That's gotta be fucked up. There was more to it than bad luck. Assuming there were only 9 clues in the 100 plus bales they should have found at least one clue after 7 hours of searching. I think they were freaking clueless and missed it, then kept on roling bales.

Memles

See...that was determination. She went through 100 bales in 8+ hours...that means she did over 12 bales an hour. And that did not look easy. I'd say this was the equivalent of the rope repelling in the second last leg last season. It did Linda and Karen in there, and this task did in the only all female team remaining. Victoria also did it for her team, but if I had Johnathan yelling at me all the time, I would have been determined to get stuff done quickly too. It's too bad that luck really did her in. It was just a bitch, and she showed some mad determination. Mad props to Lena. Sad to see them go. However, for choosing Count (Even though they were the first to finish it) they deserve it.

Everyone who chose Count, despite the fact that the first people to finish it were eliminated, should be hit over the head with one of those pots and pans. The IDIOCY involved in that process only goes to show you that these people have never watched this show. It would be one thing if it was "Build this Desk without any sort of instructions/blindfolded", but all they had to do was follow instructions. I can do that! I'm 18! If the tools are all there, figure it out! Those people deserved any fate that befell them.

Big fan of Kris and Jon. They stay positive, always pick the right task first (They didn't even think about Count), they never get stressed, and have finished strongly in each leg of the race (With finishes in Second, First and Second). And, I have to believe that there was some form of negotiation regarding who would get the cruise. It might have been a "We just got one, you guys get your second cruise first". Class Acts.

Since Aaron yelled at Johnathan, he's on my good list. Hayden can grate (She seems to make flip flop decisions Re: Detours) but I still like them.

HATE for Johnathan/Victoria, Not a fan of Adam/Rebecca, Lori and Bolo are teetering...but the rest I like. Awesome season thus far.

Did you guys see the part where Jonathan raised his hand to Victoria when they were in the cab arguing and then he caught himself and put it back down? If the camera man wasn't there I seriously think he would have hit her. He definitely seems like the type of guy to do that.

Also what kills me is how as soon as he saw the road block he was like "VICTORIA!". What a jerk. He actually made his woman do physical labor while he stood there. It was clearly more of a male-oriented task. Victoria is more of a man than he is, IMO.

Is this the first time that a team has been so far behind that Phil actually had to come to them to tell them that they were eliminated? Also Lena/Kristy were on the Early Show this morning and said one thing they didn't know till after Phil came and got them was that their entire bodies were covered in ticks.

I'm going for Hayden/Aaron. They seem to be the most determined to win the whole thing.

I still think its a possiblitiy that Jonathan might slip up and hit Victoria. He needs to be locky up in a mental institution for awhile. :p

I think so... the only other time I remember Phil coming out to meet a team in the field was last season, with the brothers in Egypt and that artifact digging Road Block. But they had announced they were giving up.

Yeah, that was different though, in that the one brother was physically unable to continue going on

No no...he could have walked to the pit stop. They were simply frustrated by the task, combined with the injury, forcing them to "Give Up". The injury was more of an excuse not to look for the Scarab.

The brothers were so sucky. Every country they go to. "Ahh stupid foreigners don't know anything".

The next ep looks pretty cool. Bolo and Lori look like they're about to snap

HOLY SHIT, that Ikea part when they had to count stuffed bears and pans etc must've been frustrating as all hell. And then the hayball-rolling. The tasks they had to perform didn't put Sweden in a very good light, dammit. :lol
Seriously, I wish they would've showed more different parts of Sweden and performed tasks that better represented the country. Still fun to see though (by now, I assume it's obvious that I'm from Sweden). :p

And yeah, I feel sorry for Lena. Man, talk about bad luck! :/

Even though I think the diversity of the contestants isn't very big (too many "models"), I still enjoy this season a lot. And I can't possibly understand how Victoria can stand Jon. She must clearly see something we are missing, unless she enjoys being screamed at, humilitated and whatnot. :(

I know, right? I've only watched 2 seasons, but last time they had dating models and now they have engaged models. What next? Married models?

What's funny is none of the "models" are very attractive.

One thing that I'm not a huge fan of in the last two seasons has been the challenges that essentially boil down to dumb luck. Last season, there was the one where they had to find the special piece of candy, the scarab challenge, the one where they had to use the bull to plow that field of mud, etc. It wouldn't be so bad if they had a choice in challenges and could opt not to do it (like the one in the hot mud springs from last season), but these forced ones are just getting silly.

For example, in that hay one, there were only 20 clues in the 270 bails of hay. If the other teams managed to luck out and find clues fairly quickly, then it's entirely possible that the team that lost just got REALLY unlucky. An elimination should not boil down to who gets lucky enough to find the right bail of hay or piece of chocolate. At least the scarab and plowing challenge could go better if you systematically approached the task.

Tonight's episode has started.

PREVIEW:

Tuesday, December 7 9PM ET/PT
# Four Teams fall behind when some locals give them bad information.

# One teammate gets sick while trying to complete a Detour. To the Team's surprise, it helps them accomplish the task quicker.

# One seemingly fit Racer struggles through a Roadblock, watching others easily complete the task, taunted and chided all the while by the teammate watching in frustration from the sidelines.

# Overcome by his partner's effort during a task, one Racer breaks down in tears of appreciation.

They need to get rid of these non elimination rounds. They need to add 3 more teams may be another black or other minority team(s) rather than the one black couple. I'm tired of selective losers getting a second chance. If they need to have non elimination have it tied to who has won the most legs or completed a task faster and award it to that team. Then in the future if they should lose they can use it to stay rather than have a sorry loser team get lucky and then toward the end of the show a strong team throughtout the race gets booted because they screwed up once.

None of that make sense.

It's meant to expand the race to 13 episodes without having to spend the extra money for more teams. The more teams, the more cars they'll need, and the more plane tickets they buy, the more crew they need, etc.

Good episode...Jon and Kristy deserve to be hit for their idiotic performance early (Random Cemetery search, Not getting to the tower at the right time, etc.), but they deserve reward for kickass roadblock/detour performance as well as just great stuff on the whole after that. Still rooting for them.

Don and Mary Jean will go eventually, but nice to see them hanging in.

Wait so we have to suffer through another week with a team that sucks in the race because the producers don't want to spend more money? Fine then do as I suggested in the last half and have non elimination be granted to teams that have won the most races or have it as 3 prizes of non elimination and the winners of the races can choose to take heir normal prize or a non elimination guarentee for future use if they need it. What doesn't make since about that?

I'm surprised Gus didn't get penalized for
taking some sand off the boat instead out of the bottom of the lake. Then again, since it was a non-elimination round, I suppose it's not too crucial...

He eventually realized the proper way to do it though, and presumedly dumped out and started anew. The clip was meant to show us how he doesn't listen to Hera. :)

God, Hayden looks like a bitch next week. "Bolo, just because you're 5 foot 5 and on steroids..." Shut up, I like Bolo!

This was a wasted show because of last week.
The old folks should have been gone last week. Now we've seen the same team lose twice, while later on a team that has been close to the top will lose and they get bounced on their first lose. Doesn't seem fair that the weakest teams get a second try.

Very simply...if I were Phil, I would have punched Johnathan in the head right there.

She cost them a trip...to Mexico...and he has a FERRARI. He needs psychological help. And a straightjacket. And a sledgehammer to the kneecap.

Otherwise, Kristy and Jon and Lori and Bolo need to learn the "Don't take Trains if you want fast" lesson.

I'll be perfectly honest with you...I think your opinion sucks. I think that you need to give teams a chance to come back. Other teams will make mistakes, and then they can be taken advantage of. In past seasons, some winning teams started the race near the bottom of the pack, but came back strong as other teams made mistakes and they did not.

Kendra is a snotty bitch, isn't she? "This place is disgusting, and they just keep breeding..."
Coupled with her line last week "We're in ghetto Africa", I can safely say I hate princess witch.

Well then why don't everyone get a chance to come back. I don't mind giving someone a chance to comeback, just those teams that have proven that they can win versus teams that suck. Again why should those old peopel get two chances to lose when later on in the game a strong team will lose and unless they get lucky they are shit out with one lose. Doesn't seem right to me. If I'm wrong for thinking that way so be it.

Well, if a "strong team" comes in last, yes they might lose. The show can't say"the last team to arrive may be eliminated, unless it's a good team, then they get another chance." That's retarded. This is the way this show works. I said this to you the last time you complained: last season 4 of the teams in the top 5 were saved by non-elims. Getting in last does not mean you're sucky. Also, if not for non-elims, teams might quit when in last instead of hoping to find out they've been given a second chance.

I like Jon and Kristy because they're nice to the other teams (They've been courteous with pretty much everyone), don't argue, and never seem to really get time on screen other than these moments. When Lori and Bolo made the mistake of taking the train, she yelled at him. Jon and Kristy made the same mistake, but they obviously didn't argue much or we would have seen it.

Having said this, they have made some mistakes the past couple of legs. They seem to tend to make decisions they shouldn't. They should not have taken the train, as they were in second place at the Detour box (I believe) and had every chance to challenge for first if they had taken a cab. Perhaps they were low on cash, and then I can understand their decision, but it seemed like a very poor one at the time.

Kendra is a real bitch; let's contrast the models, shall we?

Kristy does the roadblock last week (Hotly), doesn't complain, says that Africa is "beautiful and magical" and generally seems to be enjoying herself.

Kendra says "It might not be sanitary" at the roadblock, complains about situations, calls it Ghetto Africa, and is generally a stuck-up bitch.

That said, both teams are racing well. Really, there is no question that the best racers at this moment are the 4 teams currently in the top 4 positions.

Kristy and Jon
Hayden and Aaron
Freddie and Kendra
Johnathan and Victoria (I won't go into the incident any further)

Gus and Hera are continually slowed down, Adam and Rebecca seem to rather consistently get stuck at the back of the pack, and Lori and Bolo are fairly mistake prone, and tend to make rash decisions and then argue about it. For all of Johnathan's arguing, he's racing fairly well.

Cheering for Kristy and Jon full force.

Actually, I wouldn't put Freddie and Kendra in the elite 4 just yet, until they perform consistently well. Just a few episodes ago, they came in 8th for a really dumb mistake, remember? K and J, H and A, and J and V are very consistently at 4th or above, so I agree that they are the top 3 so far.

Freddie and Kendra have placed 4th, 8th, 6th, 5th, and 1st. They were tied in average placing with Adam and Rebecca up until this episode.

I think I was more or less going with "potential" with my picks, so I didn't really take average into account. I just think that, over the remaining teams, they have the opportunity to overcome their mistakes. The clue thing...we won't get into it. And Kendra's idiocy is the same deal...but potential wise, I'd put them over Lori/Bolo, Gus/Hera, Adam/Rebecca.

Last night was absolutely brutal! Jonathan needs a swift quick to the head for treating his wife that way. First he's a total wimp who can't run with his own bag and whines and whines about it, then he drops his bag and freaks out at his wife for trying to carry both bags. He even shoved her at the end and the host looked a bit uneasy watching her balling her eyes out while Jonathan complained they didn't come first.

Please, for the love of god, don't bring that up. We went through that with both The Apprentice and The Amazing Race earlier this year...let's just not go there. Period.

I don't think it was racism...I think she's simply an insensitive bitch. It wasn't racism...I think it was more Egalitism...I have no idea if that's a word, but it sounds right, and sort of makes me get across that because she's rich and they're poor, she thinks they're beneath her.

I'm running out of words about Jon and Victoria...it's just crazy. How can they possibly live together and be MARRIED? What kind of weird relationship is that?! Granted, it may be taken to the extreme due to the constant racing, but it's still weird...especially after that last part. I've rarely seen Phil speak to any contestant other than saying their pit stop position and other formalities...but he actually told Jon to go to Victoria. It was kind of bizarre to see Phil standing right in front of them while Jon slammed his bag down to the ground and Victoria was crying, devastated. I feel sorry for her...but I guess it's her own choice.
