Yeah, I would appreciate it if you could verify if it comes in a separate box or not.

~Kinggi~ said:"Across the three platforms, the PC version of Fallout 3 is the best, provided you have hardware that can handle it. The PC version has better lighting, a bit more graphical detail, and just looks better, overall. It's a Games For Windows Live game, too, so if you're dead set on playing the game with an Xbox 360 controller, you can do that on the PC, as well. Additionally, it has achievements, just like the 360 version, though they're kept separately--this means you could technically double up, play the game to completion on both the 360 and the PC, and have double the points as a result.
The 360 version is no slouch, though. It might not be quite as pretty as the PC version, but it still looks fine. The load times remain pretty reasonable. The PlayStation 3 version is below the 360 version, by comparison. The level of detail when you're in the wasteland or other areas where you can see for great distances isn't quite as good, the game seems to be a bit more aliased, and the frame rate isn't as smooth. Plus, the PS3 version of the game doesn't have any trophy support (yet), and the game actually freezes every time a status message, such as "so and so is online" or "DUDE HOW DID U GET FALLOUT 3 EARLY!!!!???" is on-screen. That's bad enough to make you want to log out of the PlayStation Network before booting up the PS3 version of the game."

I remember Todd Howard said waaaaaay back that the size of the game world was somewhere between Oblivion and Morrowind.Zeliard said:I still can't get a proper sense of how big the game world is. I don't know if it's small and dense, or large.

In either case, that's pretty damn big.

They initially said it was going to be denser (good), but then it ballooned during development or something and now it's the same size as Oblivion (kind of not good?).Zeliard said:Really? Because I actually remember him saying it was smaller than Oblivion's, but packed with a lot more shit to see and do.
That's why I'm a bit puzzled. There are some mixed signals.
They fell off with their reviews. Tons of shit dropped over the past 2 weeks and the Fable 2 review only came out a few days ago, and today they put out Golden Axe: Beast Rider :lolRapping Granny said:Where's gametrailer's review?

It's smaller in area but there are a lot more "landmarks". For instance, I was travelling towards a location somebody had told me about and on the way I noticed a fairly large building to the east. I travelled to that building and the usual "xxxx discovered" notification pops up. The world is definitely more packed, it's just not as big.Zeliard said:Really? Crap ._.

INDIGO_CYCLOPS said:So my Wal-Mart has it in, it's 1 AM here now and I'm contemplating going against my better judgement/planned game budget and buying the 360 version...The game has caught my interest in the past, but more recently I just haven't been that excited for it considering the amount of games coming out in the next few months.
I placed it low on my 1-10 'gotta have day 1' chart. Is it just so good that a man like myself could live with himself if he were to further his debt for a game he hasn't been 100% on in the past?
WTF. Dude, please that PC will run it easily.Wag said:This is the game that will make me upgrade my PC once more. I doubt it will make me happy even on my E6600 @ 3.2GHz, SLI 8800GT, 4GB, Vista 64 setup. Especially since I plan on running it on my HDTV.

You sure? The recommended settings indicate a 512MB GPU.Labombadog said:WTF. Dude, please that PC will run it easily.
I have a E6600 @ 3.2
Only 2gig of ram
and one 8800GTS 320mb
And I am sure it will run at max at 1280x1024.

Maybe upgrade to an E7200 those are cheap?
I wouldnt upgrade the 8800gt SLI unless you can get a GTX 280 for a good deal.
