The Official Fallout 3 thread of post-apocalyptic proportions!

Wow. I didnt expect these reviews to be this positive. Even though I did enjoy what I played I just didnt think people would love it as much as I did. Cool.

How dare they have only a certain physical amount of stock on hand and it's all been taken 2 hours before a highly anticipated midnight launch!

In all seriousness, you can either try a 24-hour Walmart if they have them where you live, or I'm sure everyplace else will have it in the morning.

Actually I went by there to see if some people I knew were there and they had ALOT of extra copies, I dunno why I got the line of bullshit on the phone. Of course once I went to pay, they told me I couldn't use my credit card since it's got my wife's name on it instead of mine...can't catch a fucking break today. I'll get it from Best Buy tomorrow...

Damn dude that sucks. Well atleast your getting it tomorrow! I

reposting from IGN thread

You know what, fuck it. I was going to just rent it but I beat Fable 2 tonight and I feel like getting into this right away after reading these reviews.

I'm like 90% sure I'll go pick it up in the morning. Possibly the CE if Best Buy still has it when I go in.

It's gonna be a tough contest between this and Dead Space for GOTY I expect. I wasn't expecting quite so high reviews, but the game is awesome so they are justified.

Wow, Eurogamer reviewer says they were discovering new enemies 60 hours into the game, and also that it's the best game they've played since BioShock.

We're really spoiled. This has to be one of the strongest gaming months ever.

Seems like a repeat of oblivion. Everyone knew it would be good but when gamespot unveiled the 9.6 everyone knew it would be awesome

Suddenly, paying $80 for the CE doesn't seem too bad :D

$80? They got me for $130 with the plastic clock through Amazon. Bethesda should stop making games and should just sell plastic Fallout junk to people like me.

I expected this game to score high. So no surprise there.

Its going to be quite the task balancing LBP, Fry Cry and Fall Out 3.. Not to mention I haven't finished Deadspace yet (chapter 11).. Oh Yeah, good times:lol

Wait..do you have your cpu overclocked on your laptop!!!!?

Anyways, you can run Fallout 3 with some high but mostly medium settings because of the GPU (graphic card).

Well I am glad I have my pre-order. All the doubters are now feeling the fallout from the reviews.

And also I will take a more dark path in this game after playing the good side in Fable 2 for the past few weeks.

Here is my question: Will the clock come packaged in the same case as the game and the lunch box (similar to the case with the Big Daddy and Bioshock) or will it be in a separate case from the game and lunch box? If it is separate from the game, then maybe the chances of seeing the clock being sold by itself on eBay would be bigger?

I really did want to buy the clock, but I really needed to save a few bucks to buy other games that are coming out this and next month. I still preordered the CE though.

Judging by the packaging that was shown on Amazon, I believe the clock bundle comes in its own packaging with a brown exterior, not the same packaging as the Collector's editions. I think there will be a "box within a box" for the clock, if only to protect it during shipping.

I could be wrong, though, and will have to wait until my ship date on the 30th to confirm.

(By which time I'll probably already have 80 hours into the game and will regret the purchase...)

:/ wow seriously, IGN what would we do without you?

A FUCKING LOT!
However, there is one major issue with the PS3 version that can't be fixed with a reset. Every time anybody on your friends list signs on or sends you a message (or any time you receive any network notification), the game freezes and the screen blurs for a few seconds.

Did you experience this?

It's from one of Hideo Kojima's earlier titles, Snatcher. Go play it!!

EDIT: FIXED . . .

Yeah, I would appreciate it if you could verify if it comes in a separate box or not.
