Do we know for sure if this is the last DLC for fallout 3?
The website says it's the final DLC. What's this talk about New Vegas though, a separate add-on or something?

Looking forward to Zeta, got my spacebucks loaded up to get it.

Been playing through this game like a madman over the last week on PS3. Good stuff!

I've only done like 10 quest and I'm already at Level 18. I love slicing Yao Guai in 2 swings, So awesome!

Any tips?

Fallout: New Vegas is a brand new game being developed by Obsidian.

Yeah I just left Raven Rock as well. This is my second playthrough and finished Point Lookout and other side quests I hadn't done. I heard about enemies spawning from Broken Steel before you finish the game? I'm lvl 22.

I haven't seen one new enemy yet in the regular wasteland..

I encountered Super Mutant Overlords all over the DC city region before I hit 20. I also ran into Feral Ghoul Reavers in a couple indoor areas like the Museum of History and Dunwich Building.

Ending up finally stepping out of vanilla Fallout with the addons: bought The Pitt, OA, and Broken Steel. I have yet to beat the game, just been having fun playing the subquests and exploring at the lvl 20 level cap.

Now that I have a lvl 30 level cap, what does GAF recommend I do at this point? Keep doing subquests and leveling or finish up the main story and move on to BS?

fallout new vegas is a whole new game that is in development by the guys who did the first 2 fallout games. i guess they are doing what activision is doing with the COD series so they can have a constant flow of fallout games out every year. from what ive heard, they will most likely use the current fallout 3 engine.

Today I learned a lesson in facing some of the tougher enemies in the game for the first time.

I don't whether it's supposed to be there, but when I started my game, went to megaton and then for the main quest (level 2 here, only killed a few raiders at this point), I was passing the Super Duder Mart and right in front of it there was a deathclaw.

I haven't seen a single deathclaw since then, but if I hadn't known what I was looking (and more important: sneaking all the way) at at that point, I would have been seriously pissed off. Not that it helps much that you get an immediate Behemoth at the GNR plaza. Which is really quite lame too, because there isn't another major encounter like that in the main quest ever again. I felt that to be a wierd design choice, to be honest.

Depends on which quests you're doing. If you're at 18 already something tells me you explore and kill a LOT of creatures/Raiders. What's your Karms?

Very good, I explored a ton mainly looking for the bobbleheads and skill books. Got 10 bobbleheads and like 40 skillbooks. 4 of the 6 custom built weapons I think. Which quest do I finish to get the Power Armor?

Half way the main quest (which isn't very long, tbh).

More specific: The Waters of Life.

Well, I was bored Tuesday, so I booted up Fallout and decided to get The Pitt over with! All the big bugs and glitches everyone was talking about happened to me! :( I luckily got the 100 steel ingeet thing achievement first time out there! I did have the glitched roof, because I had Point Outlook installed. I deleted it, and it worked, so thank god that's over! Also had another Bug, during a "cut-scene" the one when you listen to the guy talk in the crowd. Well, he stopped mid speech 3 fucking times! A hard reset of the system thankfully fixed it though! Over all I beat it in 5 hours, I normally take A LOT longer, but I wanted the get that glitchy mess over with! There was some pretty good rewards for getting 100 ingeets though! Off the finish the main story now...

Everything on my world map has been located and I don't have the explorer perk. Did this happen to anyone else?

No but that would have been nice. I went out exploring quite a few times and was still missing a bunch of stuff, mainly in the city. Ended up going with Explorer during my first play through.

Question about quest "Strictly Business":

The slaves and Grouse in Paradise Fall become hostile to me after I ignored their warning. Could I have chances to start this mission from dialogue with Grouse?

Too bad I do not keep the save file before finding Paradise Falls :(

hey guyses, how do I found the side quest that lead me back to
vault 101
?

also, I've already beaten the game, now at level 18, and I still haven't met any deathclaw :lol

Do you have the Point Lookout DLC and Broken Steel? Both are amazing..

Just go back there and you'll pick up a radio signal :).

Hang out near
the RobCo. Facility
or the

.

I encountered a bug in The Pitt that makes a portion of the roof impossible to walk on -- you fall through and die. According to the Fallout Vault Wiki they've concluded that this happens to people who played The Pitt after installing Point Lookout. I was incapable of getting the 100 Ingot achievement because of this bug.

I had this bug too so frustrating but I managed to get it to stop happening on 360 by clearing the cache and turning of 360 on and off.

Same, I am hoping to have point outlook beaten before it is released but I am not sure if I will

I still can't wait for it though.

it looks damn awesome.

After seeing the trailer I went and bought the 360 version (again) and got the rest of the DLC except for The Pitt, keep in mind I already own this on PS3 (of course no DLC is around :( )

Just made me a new guy, and I'm trying to make my second playthrough a little more interesting, I'm going to do one of those "act in character" type things.
Where you make your character out in the beginning. For example my new character is An alchoholic techno genius, who is great with energy weapons, and has an addiction to Psycho.

So instead of basing my actions on what would be best for me as the player, I base them on what is best for the character.

So, for example, my character will be constantly looking to get his fix of Psycho, even if he doesn't have any caps, so he'll attack a caravan and take all their Psycho.

Just stuff like that seems like it would make the game more fun.

Anyone else done something like this?

:lol :lol No, I've never played like that before, but its hilarious.

Damn it, I guess I'm going to have to start up a new game so I can play Mothership Zeta, and maybe I'll finally get around to downloading The Pitt. This time around I'm going to play as an evil character. Say goodbye Megaton!

No idea. When
I saved the kids to get into little lamplight
I ended up just killing the whole town.

im gonna do a full run though without mods on pc to grab all the achievements,

god the game is so easy in unmodded vats I feel like im cheating! :lol

edit: wtf at one of their armor "choices" for the zeta dlc, you will know it when you see it.

The artist Liz Beetem watched too many tom cruise movies.... :lol

watch it be some uber armor.....somehow....

Man, V.A.T.S. kills are sooo satisfying. Love the visual effects and blur that occur as you see the bullet blowing the enemy's head off in slow motion. Also, the enemies' AI is pretty good. My character is at level 4 now. I dig this game. :D

Question: I'd like to know how/where can I get some "armor training" so that I'll be able to wear those heavy Brotherhood of Steel armors/helmets?

I've been playing through the game on PS3 and was having fun with it, but was really blown away after I ran across the "Dunwich Building" and played through that. That was a really fun mini-experience.

I'm not sure why I like this game so much more than Oblivion - maybe it has to do with the VATS and if something like it were used in the next Elder Scrolls game (obviously with a different interface convention) then it might play better. I also found the environment more appealing (ironically I suppose), and it helps that I'm reading "The Dark Tower" by Stephen King right now too, so my mind is in the proper zone for this kind of mood.

I still do exploring outside the main quest rather warily because I "broke" the main quest sequence once already by doing that and had to restart from a save in order to get it back on track, so I really dislike feeling like that's a chance I take by going out on my own and exploring different places.

You keep playing through the game and at some point you'll have the option to be taught how to use power armor or if you have the Operation Anchorage(OA) DLC you can learn it from there. But if you do have the OA DLC you'll also get access to an armor that will negate just about every armor in the game especially if you have a character build focused on stealth.

You'll learn when you're at the Brotherhood, somewhere near the end. Just save up those armorpieces in your home in Megaton.

How did you break the Main Quest?

Thanks for the answers guys. Yeah I'm saving them up in my apparel inventory, which leads me to ask since Notorious_Roy mentioned it, how can I own a house in Megaton? I searched the whole town and talked to Nova but couldn't figure it out (she only offered a temporary rent?)

I didn't really "break" it I suppose. What happened was I had gotten the "Galaxy News Radio" quest after talking to Moriarty in Megaton, but then decided to finish the "Wasteland Survival Guide" quest arc from Moira before moving on. One of those quests takes you to Rivet City and for some reason I was given the option to ask about someone named Doctor Li. I honestly cannot remember whether her name had been mentioned to me previously or not, but it seemed to show up in my conversation tree with the guard outside the city right out of the blue.

OK, he probably mentions her in reference to the city council, but since I don't know anything about her yet in reference to my dad I really shouldn't be curious enough about her as a character for inquiries about her to show up in my dialog trees. Anyway, I got curious, found her in the city and struck up conversation with her and when you do that it completes "Galaxy News Radio" without you ever actually having gone there. I didn't really like that and felt that the only reason I had found her was because of some faulty logic on the part of the game of when I should be offered certain dialog options, so I chose to reload and make sure and avoid her when I went to Rivet City before the main quest sends you there.

That sort of thing is one thing I really have never been able to stand in "Western-style" RPG design. You'd think it could be remedied with more rigorous design of the trigger/flag system or something.

Mothership Zeta Trailer and Team Diary

We've released the trailer to Fallout 3's final DLC, Mothership Zeta. Additionally, Fallout 3 Lead Artist Istvan Pely has written a team diary discussing how the DLC came to fruition. Mothership Zeta will be available Monday, August 3rd on Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live for 800 points, and will be released at a later date for PlayStation 3.
I was hoping there would have been one more, I really want to go to the Commonwealth
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Commonwealth
it was mentioned in several places and in the DLC's, would have been cool to visit it. It's going to be a long wait for me for New Vegas :lol

talk to lucas simms the town sheriff about disarming the bomb, say you can do it (and if your speech is good enough, try and jack the price up for some easy caps, I always try and max speech first thay way I dont have to worry about it later, and can choose to talk my way outta stuff mid game). then get some mentats (either from the crater supply store, or if you talk leo stahl out of his key to his stash there are some), pop those (which raise your explosive skill +10 for a little bit, and it needs to be 25 to disarm the bomb).

then go back and talk to lucas after your done, and hell give you a house its to your left when entering megaton, or your right when facing the door to go out of megaton.

Same thing nearly happened to me (read page 235). I take a peek through a non-spoiler walkthru.

Well here's the thing: I want to run this game on medium settings at a resolution of 1440x900. Will a Intel Pentium 4 3.0ghz processor coupled with a 256mb ATI Radeon HD3850 run smoothly or will it lag as hell? Thanks in advance. :D

finally found my first deathclaw, although I didn't get a chance to fight him since fawkes got to him first.

also finished the
vault 101 quest
, now looking for other stuff to do...

hey, will there be a GOTY edition for the PC?
I'll be able to use my current save file with that right?

Moundir&Tony>you said:

Bethesda games only spaz out when the save was associated with mods/DLC the current install doesn't have, but since GOTY will come with all of the previously released DLCs, shouldn't be a problem.
As for the GOTY edition for the PC. Yes, probably. I mean they've been supporting PC pretty consistently so I dont see why not.
