The level of journalism in this industry is really low. Almost every site I visit seems to have a a bias.

Gamespot's getting better but navigating the site is a horror. Also you can tell that many of their reviews have written without clocking the game. Its kinda like writing a movie review without watching the whole film.

IGN's looks like its written by fanboys, complete with rivalries goin on between its sites. Its doesnt take a idiot to figure that xbox.ign.com is completely biased towards the Xbox, the same with the PS2 and PSP sites. The editors at the cube site seem lazy and spend more time commenting on how they think Nintendo should be be run.

Gamespy loves PC games.

That's just off the top of my head, there might be others floating around. You used to be able to click on the "View Forum Leaders" button and see a list of mods/admins. Anyhow, if you're a junior member, it's generally a good stategy to not piss ANYONE off.

I think mods should have a sign on that says "mod" so you can then curb your comments when they're around. Kinda like when people see a cop car on the road and immediately slow down from 150 km/h to 100.

ah, so you don't know about the mod/admin list (hell, I can barely remember where it is, but it's around here somewhere, I'd assume). it just seems a little too coincidental that you're kissing ass to mods/admins in two recent threads (first to johntv, then to jinx). That and the ingratiating "I'm a girl, look at me" username are two things that just annoy me.

Well I'm a new member but I've gotten past the "junior" status. I generally try to not piss anyone off as I've seen too many "message board wars" go on in the past on other boards. Seems pretty childish. I just accept the fact that other people can have different opinions and I try not to be too shocked when I read stuff that's totally out there. I've found that this off topic board is one of the funnier boards I've ever come across.

For the record, I'm a mod, not an admin. I can't give out tags (oh, the DEVASTATION that would ensue if I could), can't approve accounts, and can't rename people. I also can't shoot laser beams from my eyes, but I'm working on that.

There have been a lot of people lately who have questions about who the mods and admins are, which means that it's probably NOT clear. Hopefully one of the admins can add a feature which makes it more obvious.
