ep9 doesn't have a lot going on compared to the other eps, but damn if I didn't completely lose it laughing during the dating simulation segments. There's this one part where the girl rushes offscreen to the sound of the classic 8-bit "up/down stairs" sound heard in basically every RPG. Hearing it in a real world context was just damned funny.

The Kujibiki Unbalance ep also had a pretty funny twist situation.

to be fair this ep was slower than most but it was the funniest by far... I cried with tears during some parts I don't know why maybe I was in a good mood

OK so I'm somewhat of a beginner when it comes to anime and would appreciate some guidance into what to watch, I tried Genshiken by chance and have come to really enjoy it I'm also a big fan of Love Hina. So does anyone have any recommendations which are similar to these two series.

The whole series has been a gem...sadly, only three more eps :(

I wonder if the manga is still ongoing?

I'd almost given up hope on Genshiken 10. I briefly checked the subbers website for the low-down this morning & nothing. Heh, I'm surprised it just popped up like this.

Anyways only two eps left. :(

Episode 11 is out.

I just watched 10 and loved it. After episode 9 I almost didn't care for this series. Man that was disgusting. =\

I liked episode 9 a lot more than 10.

Anyway, for those of you who read the manga, is the anime faithful to the manga? It'd be ironic if it wasn't. The manga must be really short if the anime only has 12 episodes...

Just finished watching ep 11. It's absolutely brilliant! I honestly got the shivers when

the otakus started murmuring "chairman..." after Saki-san's performance.

This show is so good. I'm actually going to be depressed when it's over. Hope it gets a domestic DVD release eventually, just so I can own it. I'll be checking out the manga when it comes out, too.

What exactly, is so entertaining about this show? I mean it's an okay watch, but I'm not seeing it as hilariously outrageous as everyone else.

Then again, I've only seen 2 episodes.

Final ep is out.

Anybody who wants to find more of Genshiken is advised to pick up the manga; Del Rey will be releasing Volume 1 in April and Volume 2 in July. Last time I looked, the pacing was such that Volume 2 should at least catch up if not surpass the anime, and there are at least four volumes scheduled so far, so there you go.

Well that didn't feel like a last episode. -__-;

I still loved it. Genshiken is so unique compared to the other anime out there it's refreshing. Or should I say it was. :(

Now that it's over, I can finally say Genshiken is secured on my all-time favorites list. 10/10. :D

YES!!!

Aw, I can't believe it's over. The first half of the last ep even had a gloomy sort of vibe. Good show, though. I'll definitely read the manga when it comes out.

Yeah, some (relatively speaking) of the comedy value was definitely lowered by the need to wrap the anime up, but it was still pretty funny and a good ending to boot. And regardless of that, the new episode of Guu made up for it. Next ep - Guu Suikoden RPG.

YES.

Dead

well not really...yet
This show was apparently liscenced along with A!MG by Media Blasters. Heh didnt expect them to get them.

I am sad :(

Anyone know how long the manga is?

Currently listed at AnimeonDVD as 4+ volumes, so it's difficult to say whether it's really ongoing or not. But 4 volumes is still apparently a fair bit past the anime.

SWEDISH PERFECTION
Finished watching it just now, such a great and refreshing series! Made me literally laugh a number of times. Nice to see a down-to-earth series without it being pretentious...just a bunch of nerdy yet charming characters. :D

I would've liked it to keep going, but the ending still left me with a smile. I mean, it wasn't sad like the Azumanga Daioh ending at least, I was kind of fearing it would be.
