Apparently, these guys did not see that post. Ghaleon saw it so if he would pop in here and confirm then that would be great. I'm gonna try to dig up the images again.

Bah. I just called the local EBGames where I preordered and they're not doing a midnight event. They said they're going to try to open up early on the morning of the 25th and that's it.

Kids Say The Darndest Things

Stoled from Halo3Forums. If you're bored and want to give the old way of watching vids from Halo 2 a good send off, this should do the trick. It's pretty typical stuff until the two minute mark and then it had me laughing pretty good. The "rape" montage is especially funny is a sad sort of way.

Probably the most unique selection of songs I've ever seen accompany a Halo montage. That video was great on so many levels. The Giant ghost Spartan in the sky on Burial Grounds was incredibly funny. The guy has to have some great sticky skills, as I've never seen such good accuracy with plasma 'nades with the lag he had in some of those clips.

Speaking of montages, why have I never seen a single Halo 3 montage to the tune of
Big Head Todd and the Monster's version of "Boom Boom". You'd think that'd be the perfect song for a Halo montage.

I had an opportunity to play Halo 2 well before its release, but I was still in line at 6pm at the local GameStop. I was second in a line of several hundred. Waiting six hours to get my hands on the game wasn't very rewarding from a scheduling perspective, but talking Halo with other fans was one of the best times I've had in anticipation of a game.

For Halo 3, I will gladly be in line at 6pm and I will take my copy home to play it until I can't see anymore. There will be murders.

You can cut clips and send them across Xbox Live for other players to watch within Halo 3, but you need capture software to transfer it to the PC/internet and edit the clips together.

I think if the soundtrack was coming out day and date we'd have heard about it by now. My guess is before Christmas, but there's lots of dependancies. Marty is probably ready for a break after his crunch, there's other stuff he's got to work on, etc. I'm curious whether there's going to be multiple volumes or one big set. Smallish town/city, with the next closest town that's a bit bigger about an hour and a half away. There are two EBGames that would be the only places that would possibly have a midnight opening. Other places where I'd find Halo would be Walmart, Zellers and Blockbuster and I don't expect any of them to open up at midnight. Although ... Blockbuster does stay open until 11 already. Hrm.

Small towns can be awesome. The majority of my family lives in Rawlins Wyoming, and the main store there is clueless about release dates. They normally start selling items when they get them.

When Halo 2 came out, there was about 20 people in front of us waiting. Good thing we got there when we did, because there was probably around 80 behind us.

Of course this was November so the weather was much colder and I didn't play on Xbox Live at the time. :lol

This go around should be a much better experience.

The people at the EB I went to for H2 really sucked the fun out of waiting in line. It was upstate NY, Schenectady/Niskayuna. The parking lot was virtually empty, we had brought chairs, and frisbees. After a while one would wait in line, while two people tossed in the parking lot. At first the EB employees were impressed by our 1337 ultimate skills, but after about three tosses they wouldn't let us play anymore .

I think it uses magnets, so there's most likely a magnet on his back and magnets on his thighs to attach weapons and grenades.
