So, I "preordered" H3, but have no Idea which one I preordered. Walked in to the dirty Meijer, went to the video game aisle, and asked the lady that was missing teeth. She pulled out a game case for the Regular and put it on the counter. It was the only thing on the shelf.
"So, what does this guarantee me?" I ask
"This means you get the game for sure" Ms. Teeth says proudly.
"Which version does this mean, because I want the one with the helmet for 130$" I say
"We don't find out until we get the game in how many or what kind we gots" She says blankly, mumbling something about "break time"
"When could I find out if you get the helmet one in, and is it first come first serve?" I ask suspicious of the whole thing.
A newcomer approaches and she asks him. He says one thing:
"Yeah, da dates subject tuh change..."
*Blank Stare*
She rings me up and I leave.
So I have a t-shirt made of suspicious material, and a display box for the regular H3. I'm going to go and see if they have it for Midnight, and try to get it, but I want to pre-order online too to actually guarantee me a cat helmet. I want to go with Gamestop.com because they say:
We pride ourselves on making sure you get the latest games first. Pre-order by September 24 at 11:00 am CST and choose overnight shipping for guaranteed delivery on September 25. If your package doesnt arrive on the street date we will fully refund your shipping charges and cry.
But heres what I need to know. Does Gamestop.com bill you when it ships, or when you preorder. Because if I can find out on the week before at Meijer if I can get it, then I'll cancel the GS.com preorder, if not I'll still have preordered while I could.
Any one know?

They generally bill when they ship, however I believe there's a disclaimer somewhere where they are allowed to bill you up to a certain amount of time before the order actually ships to ensure timely processing/shipping and so on. Usually that isn't an issue, but with bigger hot items they will do it beforehand, and I can't imagine them not doing it for this. Last time it happened to me personally was when I preorded Castlevania PoR to get the preorder bonus, I was charged a few days beforehand. Pretty standard really though.

I just want it as soon as possible. Waiting in line is too much risk. Like when I waited for Wii and didn't get Zelda because they couldn't find it. But this isn't something I could walk across the street and pick up if one store doesn't have it.SailorDaravon said:

The way my GameStop did Halo 2 was my numbers! One line for paid in fuller's( They went First.) and the other line for people that still needed to pay some on it. There was about 150 people there, and I think i was 70 or so. I left the mall at 1pm. Also gonna pick up the chatpad tomorrow, mostly so I don't have to move back and forth between the computer to answer people on msn all the time (yes, this is a regular occurence), but with the added benefit of being able to quickly name the different files. So instead of "Film001", "Film002" etc, it will be "me owning X", "me t-bagging X" and so on.
Edit: Also, shouldn't there be some mention of Bungie Pro in the OP? Looked under file sharing and Ctrl+F but didn't find anything

The primer was a nice article. I would recommend it to anybody, but the most hardcore fans who keep track of all things. Ok, it is only cool, for us noobs that cannot dedicate their whole memory to Halo.PaulRTC said:

I've been looking to get a wireless headset, so I maaaay pick it up tomorrow. The main reason I didn't get it tonight is that I'm going to be slammed busy trying to finish FFXII before Halo 3 comes out, so I'm not going to be using the 360 at all. If it's better quality and may potentially be hard to get, I may just bite the bullet and pick it up tomorrow. If I do I'll post impressions.

Dude there is nothing wrong with the current wireless headset. What exactly makes the quality shitty to you?
