What genres do you like? Puzzle, RPG, Action?
 
Yeah, I've played Oblivion. Thanks though. That woulda been a good one.

And ANY genre is fine by me so long as it has legs and gets me through at least one week of the unbearable wait.

this ish still gives me goosebumps with its panoramic camera flybys over the land.

Also, gives me memories of the Beta thread here on Gaf and the painful wait that we had to go through. I remember being stuck on this screen and being told to go play Shadowrun..:lol

The wait for the Beta will forever be burned into my mind.

Remember how fun it was that Crackdown did not work initially? Super fun.
 
I know that for me personally, PacMan: Championship Edition, Puzzle Fighter HD, and, to a lesser extent Geometry Wars, were like crack. Awesome, awesome games that are bound to take a good chunk of your time. But if you want a more meaty experience, I say go with C&C:3.

Im playing Stranglehold right now. Its fun. theres also COD Beta
 
I'm picking up the Warcraft 3 battle chest for the first time later this week and am going to try to get into to DOTA. I'm also getting skate to help tide me over.

Just finished reading the script of the movie. Cool, but not awesome. Everything is based on the first game. And when I say everything its everything. Some details and discussion are thrown but the rest is HaloCE related.

That sounds kinda meh if you ask me. Then again I want them to kinda go along the route of The Fall of Reach rather than the original Halo. :D

It felt like a cliff note version of The Flood, which I did not like at all. Also, there were a lot of places in the script that I felt broke conventions set in the novels and the games, so I hope they will address those elements in the final version.

Fall of reach would be awesome, but I would personally pick First Strike.
 
This was probably posted already, because it's from the 10th, but I figured I'd re-post anyway.

In a recent store E-Mail sent out to all GameStop and EBGames locations in the US and territories, GameStop revealed some juicy nuggets of info regarding how Halo 3 will be shipped...and what will happen if the boxes are opened early.

According to the E-Mail, Halo 3 begins making it's way to stores as early as September 13th. By September 18th, all retail stores should have their copies. Not a huge surprise here though. Who DIDN'T expect this game to ship early?

Also, any employee who opens the shipping boxes will be fired immediately. No questions asked.

Jeez, I leave again for a little while to play some Gears at my movie theater and stuff happens without me. AGAIN. I miss this Pontiac stuff... did I miss the premiere of the first "Believe" commercial, too?
 
I know it's not gonna happen, but if all retailers do get their copies next week and alot of copies get out into the wild like Bioshock, I wish MS would just go ahead and lift the street date.

Another news bit: Checked out Craigslist for NY, and someone is selling the game, claiming he will have it by this Saturday.
