Yup...here's a breakdown.

Launch 360: I didn't play this thing for literally 4 months after Perfect Dark sucked complete balls, turn it on one day after it hadn't been on in forever, 3 red rings.

2nd: This was the repaired launch one, it died the week of the Beta, so I was like fuck this, went ahead and bought a brand new one...which leads us to...

3rd: Got this the day I got my F&F Beta invite, played it for a few hours, then it would freeze up every 10 minutes, and give me dirty disc errors when there wasn't even a disc in the system...so I took it back, got a new one.

4th: Things went well for about 4 months, then out of the blue, it starts doing the same thing as the 3rd one, would just freeze up constantly, no matter what game I played.

For the 5th, I went ahead and purchased an Elite, got the 2 broken ones fixed under MS's policy and sold one to a friend, and still need to sell the other, I'll take a small hit, but w/e.

these kind of stories make me wonder why my friends 360 hasn't blown up yet. he keeps it completely unventilated in a steaming hot, dirty room underneath his t.v. on a dusty shelf with the doors closed on the shelf.

and it runs COLD.

Holy crap my internal hype-o-meter can't get any higher. Auhghughughug

I've got a perfectly functional launch Xbox 360 that hasn't shown any signs of RROD'ing on me, yet I have this enormous feeling in my nether regions that I should hustle over to an EB on Sunday to grab one of the Halo 3 Xboxes. It would look SO hot in my entertainment center next to my original Halo SE Xbox.

Also - who wants to drive out to Las Vegas to heist that wax figure? My goodness it that awesome.
 
So I was thinking... How can Gravemind get High Charity to Earth? Truth blasted off with the power source to High Charity (the Forerunner ship), so how can it move anywhere?

Just question about the diorama site: did I miss, or it only have "first person account" from male marines? (my "broad"band/ISP decided to fail me today->3rd world country+no competition=broadband download limit that is over in just one day).

I mean with the inclusion of female spartan voice on MP, it seems odd too not have a old grandma telling how she kicked Covenant ass along side the Master Chief. :D
 
LOL...I guess the gravemind is kinda screwed in space isn't he. I don't think the gravemind has to get to earth....maybe Master Chief goes back to High Charity to save Cortana.

Than again, didn't the flood somehow fix and use the "truth and reconciliation", The gravemind will probably find a way to fix High Charity. Why doesn't the Prophet of Truth order his ships to totally destroy high charity...the flood in the holy city surely makes it unfit for them to ever go back.

Dear Journal,

Today we learned a lot about what Youta Mottenai is in to. While I don't see the appeal in a strange fetish, I smiled and walked away.

The guy can teleport people for absolutely no reason at all.

Getting onto a crashed ship and getting to earth isn't so far fetched at that point if bungie wants to go there.

Like I said earlier, the Flood are hijacking ships already. Gravemind could just take a joyride on one of those... But why is what I'm wondering. Obviously he's gonna go to Earth, as that's where all the human and Covenant forces will be focused, but what's he going to do, and to what end?

As far as Gravemind going places, the graphic novel revealed that the Flood also learn everything the person they infected knew how to do...so yea, probably go that angle if they explain it at all.

Ouch, I really feel sorry for you. I was worried that something similar would happen to me. "Lucky" my broke a few weeks back, and I'm getting a new unit in the mail next week. I should be safe for Halo 3's release.

OK, this has been bugging me for awhile, but I figured why not bring this up now.

I noticed that the faces of the navy personal NPC's on the first level of Halo bear a stiking resemblence to Jason Jones, Joe Staten, Marcus Lehto, and Jaime Griesemer.

Is it them? Has this ever been confirmed or am I simply seeing things?

They were modeled after them, yes...

I have not seen it confirmed anywhere, but they look to similar to be an accident.

My excitement is a fuggin' roller coaster, I'm telling ya. Some weeks I'm nice and distracted, spending time with my girlfriend, working diligently at my job, etc. The past few days have been relatively laid back, but then the diagram website hits today, and I'm INSANELY HYPED again. Now I'm spending every waking second day dreaming about mancannoning a Mangoose across Valhalla. :lol

Oh, that reminds me: did Bungie ever come up with an alternative term to Mancannon? They were planning on replacing it by the time H3 went gold, right?
