Plus tax... nuts to that.

Who am I kidding... Bought!

I really like TaxiBall, but I don't play it nearly enough:( I never envisioned a Crazy Taxi + Monkey Ball cross, but those are two of my favorite games. I hope it does sell more so there's more than 100 people listed on the scoreboard. There's no way my sad score should be ranked like 30th... :)

Waitaminute. You guys pay tax on iTunes purchases? I guess it shows up on your bill?

So nobody can give any detailed impressions about The Sims 3 iPhone?

it plays like Sims 2.5 (no mini-games)
-there is no create mode, but there's a buy mode.
-You can go outside your house and visit other people. (I haven't been able to go inside their house)
-Stores are menu base only.
also
- just like sims u maintain ur sim (bladder, hygiene, etc)
- u get conversation choices
- create-ur-sim is kind of limited

It does for me:( It might depend on your state? (I'm in WI...) Here's what my bill always looks like:

Interesting. I have an NZ, where everything already includes taxes. And I pay NZ$1.29 per app = US$0.82 at the current rate (as low as 70c earlier!)

I love this about the non-north-american world. I miss it everytime I come back from a cross-oceanic trip. :(

Edit: Although it seems i don't get taxed on my itunes purchases. Huzzah!

Just bought Taxiball. Never been too much a fan of the ball-roll 'genre,' but I think the concept for the game is brilliant, and I think it's finally settling in with me just how cheap the iPhone games are. 99 cents to support a fellow GAF member's game is something I can definitely do.

The third page of my iPhone display is quickly turning into a little arcade. :D

Heheh. Actually, it's not a push notification - though we've planned some friend-related push stuff for 3.0. That's a notification that you got a friend request! It'll only update the "badge" after/while you're running the app - so it's not technically a "push."

Sorry! But thanks for trying the game!!

Soooo, Taxiball....

Played the tutorial. Accelerometer controls work great, I love the presentation/style of the game. Good job guys.

Awesome! Thanks! (and thanks to lawblob as well!)

If anyone wants to add me to their friends list (and get quick access to the bonus level, since I check all the freakin' time), just add "helava". Go to (USER)'s Profile -> Friends -> Add Friend, and just type that in. I'll add you ASAP. :)

So, why haven't they put the music into Peggle yet? I really want to buy it, but I refuse to buy a game without gameplay music. Especially Peggle, where the sound design is such a big part of why it's so much fun.

Well, I'd buy it now for 99c.

I was playing it and I much prefer it WITHOUT the music. It still has the ode to joy when you win. I was hoping they'd leave it out :lol (stupid I know, cause I can just turn it off, but chances are I won't).

Added! My username is costanza :)

(added lawblob too)

I had to delete/reinstall because I had picked some random letters/numbers for my name originally just to get in. need to replay the tutorial now..

I must confess, I had never played Peggle until... well, now :lol

Checked its price here in euroland and hey, for 79 cents of an euro, had to pick it up even though I'm not into puzzle games.

It's... amazing. Insane entertainment and fun.

Need for Speed is so fucking frustrating. I can't get past the second Hot Car mission. Every single intersection I cross there's already traffic and no way to avoid crashing, and this happens 99% of the fucking time. Also the fucking cop AI is horrible. It rubberbands like crazy. If I'm outrunning a cop he shouldn't be able to immediately to speed up to 300mph to get back in front of me, then make a complete stop RIGHT in front of me in 2 seconds and force me to crash. I've tried to do this mission over 50 times, it's fucking bullshit.

I agree, I like the Peggle muzak and I miss it in this version.

'Blimp' has some of the worst writing I have ever seen, not to mention shoddy English. I wish games like this wouldn't try to cram a storyline and characters in. It actually puts me off this game!

'Taxiball' is great! Bought! Neogaf support squad! :D My only gripe with it is that I wish the ball had a pattern so I could see which direction it is moving in, and how fast, for extra feedback.

Shameless plug time, our first iphone game Go!Go! Rescue Squad is live and currently only 99 cents/59p.

It's a puzzle platformer, kinda like a mix between Lost Vikings and Lemmings where you have to use your fire squad to rescue people. Well worth a punt! ;)

Just bought my first two games: Peggle and iFighter, both are great.

I noticed that SimCity is 3.99€, how is it? I'm a huge fan of SimCity.

It's pretty much a carbon copy of SimCity 3000. Great game. Controls are pretty good too.

Congratulations on getting it out, and best of luck with your sales!

I've completed the main game (plus the bonus Drift races)..the way I handle those missions is by letting the police car take over me and I'll brake as soon as that happens, makes it easier to slowly navigate past him when he's at a standstill in front of you...nitros are best saved for straightways in the last half of the track and the bullet-style slo-mo can help alot in getting past oncoming vehicles :D

Why does everyone hate the prospect of rail shooters on the iPhone? Sure Wolf3D is great, but I would still play a rail shooter. It's DOOM PEOPLE!!

Hey guys! I'm working on a school project for a game for the iPhone :P It will be a 3D shooter ala Panzer Dragoon (it wasn't my idea..). We have just started the project (about a month ago actually, but we were so busy with other school stuff we have not really started until recently) , so there's still nothing to show. I'll be doing the scenery and overall visual style, another friend the character design and then two programmers doing their things.

I hope it ends up fine and we can sell it on the iTunes store!.

Excellent, hope you like it!

Incidentily, this has been announced for Xbox Live Arcade and the DS. Later there was mention of a WiiWare version - exactly what is this game currently being developed for?

Mobile, PC download (and obviously iphone) are now done and out there to buy. You will see it on other platforms though, most probably on Nintendo's first, but we can't announce anything officially yet.

Well the initial press release states "An Xbox Live Arcade version is in development, and the company is exploring routes to market for a Nintendo DS version later in the year", which is very much "we're trying to do this but haven't gone through concept approval" (much like Tecmo did with their 3 titles recently, "Not concept approved for PSN")

The initial press release states XBLA and DS / DSiWare version in the works, but this also mentioned WiiWare, but that hasn't been mentioned anywhere else :)

Dude that would be amazing, I would buy this. As for your post, I would be excited about this (versus slightly embarrassed as you seem...) I was obsessed with Panzer Dragoon Orta, please try to copy off of it's mechanics :)

Also it would be cool if you could post some artwork to show us how it's going.

It's my first Peggle as well, but I do have an iPod Touch and am playing it right now. This is dangerous, and I love it. Seems like the perfect game for this platform! How many hours can I get out of this? Are there online leaderboards that provide additional replayability?

I downloaded Human Japanese lite yesterday, but none of the audio works - has anyone tried it out? Should I try a reinstall?

I've had this on my Touch for awhile now. The audio definitely works. I'd try reinstalling followed by a reset of your device.

One of these days I'm going to get the full version, it's highly polished.

I must be crazy, but where's the fun in Peggle? I played it for 5 minutes yesterday, and it's like those pachinko machines basically. You drop the ball and have no more control over it. I must be missing something - that can't be all there's to it, right?

It's all about knowing where to shoot the ball so it hits the most pegs, when to go for the powerup pegs and knowing how to use them, and getting the best score.

Or, you may be broken inside.

Play for more than five minutes. It gets less and less pachinko-like as you go on.
