Yeah, as long as they're in a current format. I'd like to know where to buy digital versions of good graphic novels.

Mr. AaaahH!! reminds me of that PC indie game: AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! which is around jumping from tall buildings and making landings. Same dev? Or is it 'inspired' by the other?

Id be really surprised if its the same dev since they look nothing alike.

The greatness of Mr Ahhhh!!! goes beyond basic Pitfall inspired gameplay.

Yeah you're right. One's a western dev, the other's Japanese.

Madden screen shots due to come out at 12 Central time!

Finally! I am shocked they let that NFL game come out without even a screenshot of Madden coming out.

Also, was Assassin's Creed always free?

Only the Lite version is unless you see something I don't.

Ah, apparently you need wifi... That's actually really disappointing for this software and is pretty stupid imo. (Comiczeal)

I'm pretty sure Apple only allows files to be copied to an app via wifi.

If you're looking for an app that allows you to sync comics via usb, try mobi comic reader..or it might be comic reader mobi..I forget. Either way, it allows you to do so, and it has a really cool panel zooming feature, as well.

As for Gangstar, I haven't played too much of it. I don't like how I can't control the camera and how movement is all on one stick, but aside from that, the mission I played wasn't horrible. I'll see how that goes.
Touch and drag anywhere on the screen to move the camera. It took me a while to discover that as well.

Feeling better about my $5 NFL 2010....

I was hoping they would do some sort of draw mechanic for the passing but it looks to be a similar system style of game to NFL 2010. The only question I guess now is does it have a franchise mode.

No Franchise Mode sadly

I played more of it today. I like it. I'll admit it has a few flaws, the controls are a little odd, enemy ai could use some work and the missions don't flow as well as they could, but it's still a functional GTA clone that I can play on my iPhone. I think it's a good game. Have you played it?

Not yet. I was busy with Shadow Complex and I was waiting for some impressions first.

I picked up Wolf3D and Doom: Ressurection when they were on sale during QuakeCon. Wolf is as you'd expect.

Doom took me by surprise. It's a full 3D on rails FPS. Pretty decent. Works best when calibrated while holding the phone in your lap while sitting otherwise my accelerometer kept getting confused. Was well worth the 2.99 I paid for sure.

I'm surprised a few people here have dissed Gangstar. Firstly it looks and runs great, admittedly the draw distances are not that impressive, but it's the first of it's type on the iPhone and the price is pretty good so I don't think you can knock it. Controls wise I can't really find any significant beefs and there are a few alternative driving controls to suit most people (the slider/analog stick is the best imo). One of the minor annoyances is the lock on system can be a bit giddy at times. In terms of gameplay I'm about 30% through and it's pretty fun. The missions so far are nothing amazing and could probably be described as being repetitive, but they're pretty fun and in typical GTA style you have side missions like delivering fast food and all that kind of jazz. The combat is pretty stiff as most enemies routines can be described as run >>> shoot, but considering you can't run and shoot at the same time this isn't surprising, luckily there are a variety of weapons to buy and you've even got the ability to shoot and drive at the same time.

In a perfect world the game would have more unique missions and it would have a day & night cycle with different weapon types. Still, this is the first step into the 3D GTA style gameplay and for the price you pay it's pretty fun.

I am very impressed with Gangstar personally. It's not my type of game, but the fact that they could develop this type of title with such a degree of follow-through is a testament to what the iPhone's future has the potential to be. My, that was a muddy sentence - but you know what I mean. I find it a little ridiculous how people complain about games like this when it's not a port (sure it's derivative, but technically it is a fresh-enough experience as opposed to a straight rehash), the fact that it's priced so affordably (really, I think they could have charged closer to $10 for this and not got too much anger about it) and lastly, there are honest-to-goodness production values lining the whole project. The end result isn't perfect, but it's a noble first effort for this kind of title.

I want to plug a game that's making the rounds on TA, Great Leaping Lambrettinis. The devs worked hard and though I am not connected to them, I appreciate that this is a labor of love and I'd like to see more of this type of experience on iPhone.

I read somewhere that Apple have 40 dedicated staff for reviewing. Now I don't know if that is ALL they have, but if it is, that's crazy.
I think that's it. Some people ran the numbers, that gives each app like 10mn of review…

i noticed that an app i got for free a year ago when i had an ipod touch is now 99¢. it won't redownload for free, will it? (it's FROTZ, btw, and i'm trying to figure out why it costs now)

They simply chose to charge for it at a guess. It's tied to your account though. If you try to redownload on the same account, it will say, "DUDE!~ You've downloaded this before, man! Click here to get it again for free. Dude."

I'll still pick it up. Although a football managment game on the iphone would be so kick ass and arguably more appropriate for the device.

I would love a management/coach style game.

Football U is free at the moment too if you're desperate for some football.
