So does anyone is this thread own Scrabble and use it with Facebook?

I bought the EA Scrabble on iPhone toady because I read it integrates with your Fbook games... but for some reason I dont even get a prompt to log into Fbook when I start the Scrabble app on iPhone. Apparently youre meant to get a prompt to sign into Fbook when it starts.

Anyone know what the deal is?
Are you in Europe, V?

I know that mine doesn't have it, and that's because I'm in the UK

So I've been kind of addicted to Sword of Fargoal lately... it's been killing my battery life. That's okay though, as it's the best roguelike I've ever played.

Same here. Every time I have a few minutes to spare, out comes Fargoal. I haven't touched any other games in a long time.

street fighter IV sale!

IV quid in the UK store!

i'm actually really impressed so far, and it seems to run near-perfectly on my 3G.

Is Street Fighter IV actually a complete game? I got the impression that it was a dumbed down "cell phone" game that teases you into buying the full game.

sweet. it's 7 bucks in NA. I'll be picking this up when I get home.

3 day sale.

i don't really know what you're getting at - it has about as much content as you'd expect from buying, say, street fighter II on XBLA, and the game mechanics are as complete as possible on a touch screen.

I meant to ask is SFIV on iPhone the same as SFIV on Xbox/PS3?

And I don't mean the same in terms of graphics/sound, I mean in terms of content (I.E. full roster of characters/special moves/endings/modes, etc.).

I passed on Resident Evil 4 for iPhone for similar reasons. Even though they called it RE4 it wasn't actually RE4, you know?

gotcha. um, there's only 8 characters (more coming in update) but the game itself plays almost exactly like SFIV with ultras, focuses, EX attacks etc. there's the training mode, dojo, wireless multiplayer, arcade (no seth)...i dunno, apart from the roster it's about as full-featured as i'd want it to be. comparing it to RE4 isn't really fair because that was a linear game where cutting content really hurt (and it's harder to pull off a 3D action game on a phone than a fighting game), but it's probably fair to say that SFIV iphone is closer to SFIV console than RE4 iphone is to RE4 console.

basically i don't feel shortchanged by the sale price, it plays really well.

Awesome, I not played since I raced the first track pack to death a few months ago, I actually thought they gave up with this app... Shows that I not loaded up itunes for a few days doesn't it :P

It's a shame that they had to water down the car reflections on older devices, did they add them back in with this update? my 2g touch was ok running it before they optimized it.

*edit* 13 updates lolz
It's still garbage next to the PSP version it's based on. :\

Tilt to Live update is out! With two new game modes: Code Red (game starts with many dots on screen) and Gauntlet (obstacle course-style affair).
Code Red mode is nice. Skips you straight to the action.

Can anyone recommend a good battery pack? I'm really sick of my ipod dying in the middle of the day at work. Graphics intensive games really drain the little fucker, don't they? I think I only got 3 hours out of it on Thursday last. Was listening to music in the morning and then an hour of Geared killed it.

I use this for when I need a little extra juice.

It's worked great for me over the past year or so.

Got a few more games.. mostly the bite sized time wasters..

angry birds - awesome fun little game. Boom Blox esque
fruit ninja - meh. Feels like a wario ware mini game.. simple and sort of funish, but not as much fun as some of the other simple games
must eat birds - awesome. Not as good as the bombombs mini game but a nice distraction
doodle jump - fun fun fun, 35K is my high score so I need to get a lot better
Space Invaders something something - reminds me of rez. Great little shmup
Sword of Faragal - never been huge on rouge likes, but this is prettty fun.

just played a bit more fruit ninja.

I take it all back, it's awesome. Once it gets going with some crazy combos and dodging bombs it gets good.

Got up to 130, feel I could have done better.

So I picked up street fighter iv and I'm pretty impressed. Granted, I've always been a scrub street fighter player, but the iPhone version offers a pretty fun pared down version of the game. I don't find myself fighting the controls and play styles with the different characters really feel different.

It even works ok on the iPad once you move the buttons down to the corners of the screen.

Aaah. I thought that might be it. But could find no reference to it anywhere.

Yeah Im in Australia. Euro version of Scrabble.

Make that 2 pages. Pared down to the bare essentials.
First, your new Avatar frightens me.

Second, I've tried to do the same thing but I can usually only bring myself to remove about 12 apps out of the 9 pages I have. :( I hate to remove a game I invested an hour into even though I may not have played it for months, like Cobra Command where I'm only up to level 4, got it when it first came out yet haven't played it again.

Removing them is like admitting defeat to me. Got no problem removing things I have hardly touched though, or don't really have any time locked investments.

Paradigm shift or diamonds in the rough?
Neither really. I think the number of quality and higher priced games will increase from here on in, since there's a proven market for them, but the majority are going to remain small priced stuff made by small teams of devs. The low barrier of entry pretty much makes it the default, though personally I'm more likely to buy these high production games, Chaos Rings especially is insanely good, than I am the 1$ quick fun stuff.

I think it’s a sign of a major shift for big name developers offering more support and getting rewarded. But I don’t think the great independently produced games will go away (mainly due to the price advantage they have), so that’s a win-win for me.

Picked up a $25 Gift card and used it to purchase NFS:Shift on the iPad, Street Fighter IV & Angry Birds. I'm pretty happy with all three of them. Perfect timing for a SFIV sale Capcom! :D

Kinda sucks for me right now since I went to my class' college graduation party and I got tossed in the pool with my iPod Touch... the thing got fried >_<

I am waiting for it to dry for 24 hours before recharging it but I don't know if it'll still work. If it dosn't, don't know if I'll pay $150 to get it fixed or sell it broken :(

I hate that kind of thing. The people who threw you in should pay.

I was reading about a guy who was at a party and was thrown in a pool with his slr. They didn't realise his camera and lens were worth over $10,000.

Srsly. They should pay for it.

Reading about you folks running out of space on your devices makes me oh so glad I sprang for the 64GB ipod touch. I pretty much never have to worry about running out of spce for the games and apps I buy. It helps that I only have about 18GBs of music on it, leaving the rest of the space free for games and stuff.

Anyone recommend a good Sudoku game? I bought the EA Sudoku for .99 cents, it seemed to be one of the higher reviewed Sudoku games on the store. Is there another that is better? Are there any that allow you to draw the numbers to input them instead of selecting them from a list of numbers? None seem to do that. Brain Age on DS lets me play by doing that, and its really intuitive.

Also bought Boggle a couple of weeks ago. It's actually a lot of fun! I recommend it for fans of word games. Bought Street Fighter IV too. Need time to learn the controls better, I don't like games with virtual joysticks and buttons. Fruit Ninja was bought as well, like it a lot.

Do you also get more than 11 pages?
I've a 16GB device and haven't ran out of space but easily fill 11 pages.

ChaosRings is pretty damn awesome so far, but the difficulty seems like it's either too hard or too easy, but maybe it's just the first pair that's easier than the rest?

Either way I like it, even if it's just a "dungeon crawler".

Not exactly Sudoku, but try Strimko out. It is a fun variant. However it doesn't allow you to write in the numbers.

wait, this is a dungeon crawler? now i'm interested!

so do you mean dungeon crawler like dark cloud (well, except with turned based battles), a grid-based dungeon crawler, or a rpg with towns and fields connecting various dungeons?

How is it all going? Everyone digging the game? In the recent update there have been a few reports of either A - crash on startup or B - swipes not being recognised. I can tell you that both problems are easily fixed within seconds, but if anyone does have this issue currently then please let me know so we can get some more information for the next update.

The problems won't affect new players, so if you haven't got it yet, simply download the game now on the App store and you will be playing with no issues!

Here's some quick current information for how Fruit Ninja is doing:

All Paid App charts:

#2 in Australia
#6 in Canada
#6 in Italy
#7 in USA
#10 in Germany

After a long long wait - our new game 180 is out :)

180itunes.jpg

Here's a youtube showing how to play.

I will promote this when the Free version is available (another week or so?) but if you wanna see what I have been up to, check it out!

If you are a fan of Tetris Attack and Bust-a-Move (but played them to death) then you will be addicted to this!

Give it at least a week before giving up on it. My sister put her iPhone through a full wash and dry cycle and it started working again a few days later.

Did you purchase the game new with the update included today/yesterday, or had you already bought the game before the update came out?

UPDATE - In talks now to learn more about the tech behind the issue - if anyone is having either swipe or crash problems, you can fix it by doing one of two things. First, try simply restarting your device. I've offered this fix to several people experiencing the swipe problem and it has worked perfectly every time.

In the event that a restart doesn't fix the crash issue, just reinstall the game. As mentioned the problems should only be affecting players who already had Fruit Ninja before the update - we haven't had any reports of issues from players who bought the game recently which included the update. if you have any problems when buying the game for the first time, please let me know!

Every current issue will be fixed in a minor update we will submit tomorrow, so you can expect Fruit Ninja with improved performance very soon!

Still, for the vast majority of players, everyone who is buying or updating the game is enjoying a bug-free experience with silky-smooth gameplay. And I'm very happy to say that it's the reason we are now at #7 in all paid apps in the USA. Thanks so much for your support and let your friends know that Fruit Ninja is here and we will be updating the game for a long time to come.

I feel like buying a new game to round out my home screen and so far the most recommended games that I haven't got are Angry Birds and Tilt to Live. Which should I get?
I've played Angry Birds Lite so I know what that is but I'm a bit unsure on what Tilt to Live actually is. The impressions I got from this thread and the app store description is that it's kind of like a Gemetry Wars style game but you can't shoot and you tilt to move around. Is that right?

We really need a thread where people can pimp their iPhone games to us, and another where they can't, so we can talk about them if we think that they're shitty without it coming directly beneath an extended advert for a product.

I would think there'd be more value in lodging complaints about games in a thread where a dev can respond, rather than having some arbitrary thread split.

Back on topic - did anyone buy the Linkin Park game? I'm very curious if it has any merit at all, as the stigma of LP is making that $5 hard to swallow.
