Can I make a different iTunes account using fake US address but still utilizing my non-US CC? I want to pick MGS Touch as there are no news of European release yet.

:/An icon introduces new features available to the game which can be purchased right in game.
though which is coolSims character is now going to use the media center and play music from the user's iPod library.

Castor Krieg said:Thx a lot, bought this one as well as I'm TD-junkie. Wonderful games, geoDefense is just beautiful.
Hell, yes. My two favorite game ideas just became a possibility on the iPhone. I know what I'm doing tomorrow. Did they say whether or not you had to charge for the DLC or if it was like the AppStore where you could offer free expansions as well?Masklinn said:edit: also, DLC integration for paid apps (no need to go back to the appstore and buy another app, there will be APIs for the devs to integrate that into the app itself)
Well, any technology in the hands of the greedy and visionless can suck. The cure for cancer, when mixed with the Sims, would likely destroy the world in a flash of simlish.Might not be such a good thing though... they're talking about Sims 3 and...
Well it's been officially announced and the Sims app uses the API:Stoney Mason said:That would be wonderful if true. Not being able to access the music library on the ipod or itouch is/was a really dumb decision that closes off a lot of game ideas and concepts.
I doubt Apple is going to pull the rug under The SimsSims character is now going to use the media center and play music from the user's iPod library.
No visible mention, but if the DLC is free you can just release a free update including it can't you? (probably for that reason, DLC is only for paid apps)Sqorgar said:Hell, yes. Kafel said:Hello thread.
Question : all the games/applications work on BOTH the iPhone and iPod Touch ? Forexample if I buy an Ipod Touch, will I be able to use the App that recognizes music and gives you its title (sorry, forgot the name of this App). Well, does the iPod Touch have a mic ?
Thank you.

from the liveblogs, audience loved itLeaf Trombone World Stage invites users to learn wacky new instruments, participate in massive online social music learning experience
App lets users play music with a Guitar Hero like UI, users can also play duets
bdouble said:You won't be able to run those apps. Touch doesn't have a mic or GPS and any app using those won't work.
second-gen iTouch is more powerful than any iPhone actually (faster CPU)Kafel said:Thank you, I guessed about the GPS but I didn't know about the mic.
At least all the games work on both systems ? (there isn't a system graphically more powerful than the other one ?)
Gamecocks625 said:So what's the battery life like while playing games on the Touch 2g? I've heard horror stories of it only lasting like 2 hours.
ThaiGrocer said:So apparently we won't be getting GTA on the iPhone any time soon since it would be to edgy for the app store.

So they get to charge us for stuff now that they would have otherwise provided us for free!Anno said:Along with the announcement that this will be their final (major) update for the foreseeable future. Onto another game. That's why I am excited about paid DLC availability. Now there will be incentive to improve games over time. $.99 to buy a new course or two in Let's Golf!? Sure, sign me up. It's worth it. Obviously it'll be exploited as well, but I'll take the good with the bad. Gimme some kind of turn-based tactical MMORPG with a subscription/RMT that's well polished and has content added over time in my pocket and I'll be in heaven.
Really? I did not know this. So I can play Ocarina now?Mutanthands said:The touch does accept mic input through the head phone jack. You can use the iPhone buds, or pick up a separate mic.

I'm as cynical as the next man when it comes to DLC, but I really don't see it having a huge negative impact on the types of games made for iPhone OS (EA, notwithstanding). A lot of the best apps have been relatively small, indie affairs that very much depend on the support of the community to be successful. I think apps that try to charge for patches or for frivolous downloads will quickly gain the ire of the fans. Unlike traditional markets, where marketing means never having to say you are sorry, the iPhone market is almost entire based on fan feedback.Flunkie said:So they get to charge us for stuff now that they would have otherwise provided us for free!

Stoney Mason said:Honestly who cares.
I sort of don't like it when people from this thread overly push it on the rest of the of the forum. Either you get it or you don't.
As long we keep getting good games I'm fine with everything. I'm kinda glad it feels like a niche thing so people don't get overly obnoxious like the rest of the gaming side often is.

Dreamwriter said:But there's the problem - we could be getting a lot more good games, but too many people see it as "just another cell phone". As long as it's niche there'll be very few big-name developers making high quality games. Imagine what would happen if all those 30 million iPhone owners started using the iPhone as their main portable gaming device - that's approaching PSP numbers in far less time.
Stoney Mason said:Apparently 7.99 instead of the 9.99 price I heard.
