Man you are like five levels higher than I was when I got to the ruins. Finished the game at LV28. Rolling saves lives.
bigswords said:I'm not usually a person that comments in a game's story but why are there so much "tentacle rape" and "it's ok to molest girls" undertones in Phantasy Star Zero and Phantasy Star Portable. Did they get the same script writer? When Crystal Chronicles can have a much better storyline without all these fan based stuff, I dunno and it's meant for kids, gosh!
Yes I am getting raped at the damnany tips? I'm a Lvl 13 human force user.octopus at the swamps

Forkball said:Regarding the second boss:
Not sure about specific strategies for force users (humars for life), but the key to the battle is dodging his tentacles. Yes, put the evasion command back in your pallet. In the first stage, they are pretty easy to dodge. When you want to attack, try to aim for the tip or at a part near the octopus. When I tried to lock on, it would always lock on to the tentacle close to the octopus. Remember now, just attack any part of him and he will take damage. Also, the octopus has a super annoying spin attack that does a lot of damage. If you hang out on the outer rim, you can dodge it completely (though your idiot teammates won't).
His open mouth allows you to net a TON of damage. It's a bit risky since he sucks you in, but it's totally worth it. There are times when he opens his mouth without his sucking attack, so be aware. If you want, just wail on it until you're sucked in. You take a lot of damage though, so heal up before and after he spits you out.
For the second stage, his tentacles moves more wildly and have stronger attacks. Just try not to stay directly in front of him until you go for the open mouth. Also, watch out for the piercing spin attack his tentacles do. It's hard to see sometimes, so always be moving so you won't be a sitting duck.
The octopus boss was the hardest in the game for me. They get significantly easier afterwards.
bigswords said:Thank you any tips for part 2 of theI ran out of PP blasting his ass with Foie.Octopus boss?
depward said:I guess just wait til opportune times to hit him? After he sucks you in and he's just waiting there is the best time (and you'll hit him for maximum damage too).
Are you using PP recovery items?
Enough items for you to play months without getting 100%.YagizY said:Does this game have enough items? I'm curious because the weapons are always my favorite part of PSO.
Cosmo Clock 21 said:Two of the fields don't have end bosses; they just throw a bunch of tough mobs at you.
There is only one town in the game
Quick change weapons with R+Start
Camera control in this game is kind of bad. You deal.
Attack chaining is dependant on when your allies do the hits, not just you.

This isn't one of those RPGs where grinding solves everything. Learn the boss attack patterns, be patient, and focus on surviving rather than squeezing out that extra attack combo.Lindsay said:Blah! I saw two new side-quests had opened up so I'll do them and run through all the fields again and if by then I'm not highly leveled/equipped enough to finish those bosses I might give up! btw the later areas get really really long when going for a full clear. Why is there no map??

Or you could cheat by activating a Photon Blast during's death animation, which glitches the last fight into making you completely invulnerable.Mother Trinity
I'm up for some Free Play right now, searching in Hard but no one's online.
