I have a wrestling question.

turned on the smackdown last week and was reminded of something that never made sense to me: the rope break.

what's the fight logic behind letting a guy escape just because he's close to the ropes?

Hopefully RAW is decent tonite... the PPV was AWFUL.. top to bottom. This needs to redeem it somehow...

Things to count on tonight...
Matt Hardy run-in
Lame diva segment that drags on way too long
Lame Chris Masters segemnt
Matt Striker appearance (have they signed this guy yet?)
More blah blah between Hogan/Michaels
2 shitty bands doing a battle...

Glad I didn't go...

but the PPV was smackdown. BRAND SPLIT!

As an on-again off-again watcher of wrestling, is there anything to watch out for this week?
More Matt Hardy antics? More Diva bitching?

Maybe the Boogeyman can save us?!?

I'm well aware of this, so whats your point?

I've thought the last couple PPVs were dull.... Vince still finalizes BOTH shows. And we know the focus definetly has NOT been on wrestling anymore.

October can't come soon enough... ROH in Cleveland..

The GAB is almost always officially a bad PPV, even before any matches were announced I had lost faith in the PPV...

Raw should be kind of entertaining though...

Here hoping for Matt Hardy (in a ambulance), The Boogeyman (if her shows up) and Matt Striker (I am starting to like the him) to do something entertaining..

Some on de-grease SheltonÂ’s boots! He was all over the place last week...

Give Hogan/Divas minimal time on TV

Oh I almost forgot the “Battle of the Bands” I don’t care what’s happens there..

It a dead cert that 25% of tonightÂ’s show will be bad, lets hope other 75% is kind of good :)

Striker IS the boogeyman.

Vince McMahon Upset With Last Night's PPV,

- Vince McMahon was said to be very upset with last night's PPV. After two consecutive pay-per-views that led to strong reaction from fans and wrestlers alike, Great American Bash was seen as a dud, and even Vince expressed displeasure. He was seen walking around backstage in a very bad mood.

- There were quite a few upset with the logic of Batista getting disqualified in the main-event, although WWE has consistently stood by the concept that it has creative liberty to ignore certain things and focus on others.

-One of the main reason's that Vince McMahon was so upset last night had to deal with Batista's work in the main event against JBL. Vince & WWE have had really high hopes that Batista would be able to carry the title and continue to draw fans, but they are now concerned about his in ring work. Batista's rough in-ring work didn't show up as much in his series of matches against Triple H, because Triple H was able to carry him so well, but last night it was obvious that Batista was having problems in his match with JBL.

-There are rumors that are circulating that due to the fact that there is so much uncertainity with UPN and the WWE that after their current contract runs out with UPN, the entire Smackdown! brand could be wiped away. Of course, there is still alot of time between now and the end of that contract, but there are definitely whispers of what could happen after the contract does run out.

At least Vince knows when he fucks up now

Well, no shit Dave can't work. I've been telling everyone that from the beginning. I've seen some of his OVW i isn't much better.

HE SUCKS ASS IN THE RING. HE IS THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR OF 2005!

Really popular (for now) with the crowd, but a complete slug in the ring. He needs to be carried if he is to look good in the ring.
Cena's not much better. They really need to get the belts onto better workers and soon.

I understand that for the most part I'm a purist, but my God man, at least admit when your champs SUCK at what they do.

McMahon is dead-set against ending the brand split, but perhaps he may want to consider it....

OMG WWE.COM HAS AN EXCLUSIVE UPDATE ON MUHAMMAD HASSAN!

The following was posted this afternoon on WWE.com:

Reliable sources have informed WWE.com that Muhammad Hassan will be out indefinitely as a result of the Last Ride delivered to him by the Undertaker at The Great American Bash. At this point, it is doubtful that he will return to action.

*rolls eyes*

Hogan sucked ass in the ring even in his prime, but his charisma was enough to carry him through...hell, even now. Not that DAVE is the next Hogan or anything, but he has a connection to the crowd that's undeniable. I was pleased as punch to see Benoit with the belt, but the guy can't talk a lick, and whether you like it or not it's a huge part of the WWE's plan to become mainstream again.

So Cena, whose repetoire has been cut back severely since leaving OVW, is champ because he gets mainstream exposure...and Batista, who isn't the most technical guy around :) but also wears gold due to great look, decent mic skills, and the whole anti-HHH syndrome...

I'd love to see Jericho get gold again and a run where he's let loose on the mic. That would rock. It will also never happen.

...

*plays Hassan's theme music full blast in the office again*

I'm amazed how great Batista has gotten on the mic. He went from no mic skills at all to good in like a year.

I want hassan back. ;_;

Remember when Batista looked like he "walked in from a vivid video shoot"? :lol
