Glad it's not just me then!Risible said:Yeah, my first playthrough I hosed that fucker down with fire for like 30 minutes and shot the weak spots that appeared and still nothing. I tried a few more times and finally said fuck it and RPGed that motherfucker. I've played through RE5 probably 3 or 4 times, and I always save the RPG you find on the swamp level for that fucker.
If people come up with a bunch of goofy full conversions for a bunch of the human player/NPC models, I'll totally double-dip on RE5 PC. Making them all up to look like characters and enemies from Half-Life 2 would be pretty funny.Tricky I Shadow said:WAT!?! :lol

Oh yeah knife only. :lolSectus said:I just did a high level run of public assembly mercenaries with the knife only I wanna share. Not to brag or anything, but I think I might be the best player in the world using knife only.

AAK said:Finally started the game and playing co op with a friend. It's really fun especially with the MOVE.
Anyways, I got to the flying scorpion boss fight that comes out of the tanker. I pick up proximity mines and place them on the ground... how do I detonate it? I don't get any prompt to detonate it and I press the firing (move) button but I just dropped another mine again. What am I doing wrong??
Rewrite said:Sorry for the bump, but I was wondering if you can unlock the achievement/trophy called Who Do You Trust while playing the campaign online with a friend.
Pretty easy too. Medic!Grimm Fandango said:Nope. Must be with the AI.
Yeah, I've known about this one for a while. I remember the first time playing S75-only, in the 2-2 underground mine area, and noticing I was getting a ridiculous amount of Plagas spawns. It also applies to Kipepeo (the flying type) as well.Sectus said:-This is a pretty big one. Most people are probably aware that certain enemies have a 100% chance to turn into some kind of las plagas (best example being Allyson in 1-2), and the only way to prevent that is breaking her neck or causing an explosion. Other specific enemies has a random chance of turning into a long neck... but it's not completely random. If you kill them by shooting their head (this also includes melees doing damage at the head), only then is there about a 75% chance of them turning into a las plagas. If you kill them by shooting anywhere else, there's a 0% chance of them turning into a las plagas.
Thanks for clearing that up! How odd that it doesn't work online. Thanks again!Grimm Fandango said:Nope. Must be with the AI.
Rewrite said:...though I don't know how I'm going to do on the Jill/Wesker fight. I remember that being a huge problem on Veteran...I can't even imagine how it's going to be like on Professional where you're almost dead with one fucking shot.

First off, wear the bulletproof vest for the fight, it will let you survive about 3 bullets on Professional at full health. Without it, a single bullet will put you in the orange.Rewrite said:I'm only missing two more trophies which is maxing out all the weapons and beating the game in Professional. I already got past one of the hard parts in Professional which is the Ndesu fight so I'm confident I can beat it...though I don't know how I'm going to do on the Jill/Wesker fight. I remember that being a huge problem on Veteran...I can't even imagine how it's going to be like on Professional where you're almost dead with one fucking shot.
Thanks for the tips! I finally did it tonight. I died 30 times during the first part of the fight because of Sheva's AI. Damn, I was so pissed off because she just kept fucking up every single run. I found an easier method in beating it and that was to trigger the cutscene and hope that Sheva makes it safely inside without being attacked by Jill/Wesker...once she's inside, I ran through the tunnels and exited them to attack Wesker from behind with a Rocket Launcher. Bam, first part of the fight was finished. As for the second part, I only died once...it was pretty easy. I just stood behind Jill and kept restraining her over and over again to let Sheva aim at her chest device with the infinite magnum. It takes about 7 shots to her chest for you to successfully pull the device off. Feels good, man!USD said:-tips-
If you're doing this with the AI, however, it's much, much more annoying.

I'm not sure. I rarely play solo anyway. I have lost the savegame where I played the most mercenaries, so I can't check that. I've done a few random solo runs recently here and there, and I usually get a combo of around 50-90 depending on the stage.isamu said:Thanks for the vids. I will cheggem out
Out of curiosity, have you ever managed to do a full *Solo* run in Public Assembly, combo-ing all 150 enemies without using any mods or a trainer?
