FIRST OF ALL how much of a downgrade is PS2 T5 compared to the System 258 arcade coin-op T5 ? are we talking about a similar downgrade that we saw from System 12 arcade T3 to Playstation T3 ?
regardless, we all *KNOW* that the PS2 T5 has been somewhat, or at least slightly, downgraded from arcade T5. I suppose we will have to wait until Playstation3 to get a 100% exact port of T5. or maybe we'll get an upgraded port of T5, ala TTT on PS2.
Secondly what is it like playing T3 in Arcade History Mode, is it really really REALLY just like playing the arcade coin-op? or has something been downgraded or cut out? polygon count of the charactors? 3D polygonal backgrounds. textures. resolution. smoothness. etc. these things were all reduced (or cut) from the PS1 T3.
Now, while I expect the port of arcade-T3 that is in PS2-T5 to have all of the graphical detail that was missing from the PS1 version, thus a near-perfect T3 if not totally perfect T3, I am being cautiously optimistic. I would really appreciate some impressions from those people that have actually played T3 on PS2. not just to repeat what is expected, and what has already been mentioned online in previews or even reviews.
the reason why I am asking is, just because you have a direct arcade port of a game (i am thinking about Tekken 3 within PS2 Tekken 5, not T5 itself) that does not automatically mean it is 100% exact. case in point. Street Fighter 2 The World Warrior, Champion Edition, Turbo Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter 2, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo on Playstation and Saturn (found in Street Fighter Collection, Capcom Generation 5 and Street Fighter Collection 2) were all near-exact but NOT totally 100% exact. lower resolutions. missing glitch-tricks in World Warrior, smaller sprites and washed out color in Super/SuperTurbo.
p.s. sorry if these questions have already been addressed. but I'd like confirmation. hehe.
