The ongoing DCEU trash fire takes another turn…

Nikana

Go Go Neo Rangers!

Seven month delay for The Flash. That’s a very bad sign about what they have already in the can. Everything else delayed as well.

Scared of MCU, or reacting to the massive success of The Batman? Horrible test screenings for Flash? Executives rethinking the already terrible strategy?

What an absolute fucking garbage fire the DCEU is.

Kill it.

Shut Up Zod.

Still haven’t gotten around to Wonder Woman 2 and Snyder’s JL.

I doubt they’re scared of the MCU.
I haven’t watched WW: 1984 yet, but heard it’s shit compared to the first one. I would definitely watch Snyder’s Justice League, though, it’s the best post-Dark Knight DC film. All the others - yes, all of them - sucked.

And I think DC are definitely scared of Marvel. They just can’t reach the highs that Marvel have, and I doubt they ever will. ZSJL is great, don’t get me wrong, but it’s still no Avengers’ Endgame. DC can only dream of getting anywhere close to Marvel’s success.

Didn't Matt Reeves sign a multi picture deal for The Batman?

Lol, c'mon dude. Seriously?!

No idea, and he may well want to do more - just hope that's the case rather than studio meddling.

I still think The Batman is best left alone, I don't know what it looks like if you do that same film again a second time but with a rotating rogue's gallery. Batman Begins and The Dark Knight felt very distinct from one another but neither were as tonally uniform as The Batman which is one of its strengths.

Unfortunately, we then got Terminator 3-6 and they were all steaming turds of varying degrees.

I'm talking out of my ass, The Dark Knight is the best Batman movie and it's a sequel, I just don't want to see Matt Reeves studio-pressured into making something he doesn't actually want to make.

Matt Reeves is involved in 2 spin-off TV series for HBO Max (The Penguin, and a GCPD show that has evolved into an Arkham series), the new animated series on HBO Max, and says they've already been talking about another movie and he said he would want to try to do Mr. Freeze in a sequel.

Fair enough. Sounds like the sort of saturation that kills my interest in superhero shit honestly, but if he wants to do it, power to him. He could definitely make Freeze work in his world so I'd watch a sequel.

Aquaman was such a crap movie, why its getting a sequel baffles me

I have zero confidence in The Flash being any good at all

Personally I thought it was as good as a movie about Aquaman could possibly be... there is only so much to work with.
