The Outer Worlds 2 - Reviews Thread

The first sentence is a declaration of war.
German really have the worst taste and should try to civilise themselves instead of being so barbaric.

Domagoj Belancic...the most typical german name. ;)
He speaks german, he thinks german 🤷‍♀️
Please don't use your germanic tribes logic with me, i can't understand im not a saxon barbarian i come from the hellenic world like all people who had the luck to be born around the cradle of civilisation that is the Mediterranean basin.

And he also got several game breaking bugs, that forced him to lose or skip a few side missions.
Combat seems to be very unbalanced. At points to easy, other times very hard and time consuming.
Seems like this game will need several patches to be playable.
And the ending is a disappointment.
will definitely be getting this on sale I have game pass but I really want to play it on the PlayStation.

You know what, let me take that back. He was only about 15 years old when Fallout 4 released, so it shouldn't be held against him. That said, I've seen some of his content, and he's definitely not an expert in the RPG genre.
Okay...just asking because the FO4 reviews back than confused me as well. I thought it was a total downgrade to both FO3 games and everyone and his mother praised it to the moon.

Avowed was a good game. There were some woke elements and the last third was a bit of a letdown due to lack of enemy variety but I had fun playing it for the most part

One of the best 40fps implementations, probably the rare few 40fps game on UE5.

Speaking of that, does anyone know it Outer Worlds 2 has a 40fps mode?

I wish more Xbox studios titles had 40fps implementations. It seems like they just don't care for some reason.

Looking at some reviews, it seems like this does indeed have a 40fps mode. It seems to do the Avowed modes. 30fps, 40fps, 60fps.

And there's an FoV slider in the console version too.

Nice.

edit:

Confirmed for Series X and PS5 Pro, for some reason one of the reviews says the base PS5 did *not* have 60fps mode in the review guidelines, not sure if a mistake in the guideline or what.

We'll find out soon.

I wish every console title had a 40fps mode! It's such a nice blend of quality and smoothness on a compatible display.

Reviews were good. Believe it or not, I'm actually playing Avowed right now. Will check this out once I'm finished, but man...Obsidian is actually a good developer still I'll admit that now.

I was down on them before and I'm still a bit disappointed with some of the employee stuff I've seen, but from what I can tell they've still got it. I still enjoy most of their games and that is not true for many.

I'll not say too much to keep on topic but in the future I'd love to see them help with a Fallout game...

...or just help with a remake for New Vegas.

Papi I'm glad you're actually playing Avowed to give it a legit shot instead of just shooting blanks like a decent number of users did/are doing.

I am glad that the roleplaying and story angle seems pretty good. I'll pick this up sooner or later, but not right now.

I agree with the complaints about the visual design philosophy, yet that's not a deal breaker for me in the long run.

Just not a real priority to run out and buy it. Similar to my feelings about the first game, all things considered.
