360 controller would be perfect if you switched the positions of the d-pad and left analog...and made the d-pad not suck. i'd also prefer face buttons with flat surfaces.

Left analog is in the perfect position. Playing most 3-D games and shooters is much easier when you can handle the analog stick well. Your asking for the analog stick to be in the same spot as the PS2 controller. Your only more used to the PS2 controller which is why you want it there.

And yes, the d-pad is terrible. Just replace it with another d-pad! : )

Yeah. Logitech makes one for PS2 as well. Good for Monster Hunter...not so much for street fighter.

It's not REAL because it would be the perfect controller and no one would need anything else, that's why no one makes it.

I've always found it amusing that the vast majority of Gaffers hate the PSX seperated D-Pad, and love the Sautn style disc type. I hate disc and cross D-Pads with a passion, and I have always decalred the PSX D-Pad as the best ever.

I suppose that most would retort that they find the disc type D-Pads superior for fighting game input, but, obviously, that's not a dilemma that I ever let myself face.

I'm not a huge fan of the disc pad, but it's alright. I prefer the traditional cross. I HATE the disjointed d-pad (I don't even like using it for Winning Eleven), but it's not like I turn into a thumbless retard when I do use it.

Also, I want to reiterate how the DC controller is truly a piece of shit. I don't think I've ever held a cheaper feeling first party controller in my life. If there's nothing in the VMU slot, it manages to feel even worse.
