The Player 1 Podcast Topic

They really lost me when the games became "if you don't play on Ultra Hard Expert mode you won't have fun (or you'll be limited to playing 4 songs that are slow/bad)." It'd be like limiting karaoke to only the people that have recording careers. That wouldn't be any fun.

Yeah, Utacchi (Pop'n Music DS with a frog theme) seems like their stab at that crowd while leaving arcades to the supermen.

Woke up this morning.

Opened Email.

Guys, do your offspring resemble Baby Mario/Luigi/et cetera more or less than you thought they would? The Internet demands an answer.

Another great episode :).
But I have to say, I will always prefer a 4 manned podcast. It would be awesome if you can find a permanent fourth member. I recommend that dude who was a guest 3 or so weeks ago. I thought he was interesting and a good match to the guys.

So how did you chaps resolve that recording kerfuffle in the middle? Obviously it went off without a hitch... unless there were some editing hijinks I wasn't aware of.

I really appreciate an enthusiastic off-topic podcast more than a deflated on-topic one. Keep it up (or, rather, change now that there are games that you want to play coming out; may I suggest Classic Dungeon X2?)!

Agreed, I don't think there's very many podcasts where I'd be ok with them talking about random stuff like baby clothes and what not. I think I could listen to the Player One guys talk about just about anything and I'd be entertained though.

It was mentioned on an episode back, but you guys should follow @stuffmyphilsays on twitter.

Pretty funny, and the person running it is pretty active it seems.

Episode 254 (09/05/11) – The Ambassadors

This week! We talk 3DS Ambassador program, Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection (trial), Rock of Ages (trial), Driver San Francisco (demo), Dreamcast, God of War Origins (demo), Jetpack Joyride, and fatherhood tips.

Uh-oh. An issue full of dabbling, trials, and demoes makes me worry about shallowness. At least we're back to video games!

We had a similar apparatus that used regular garbage can liners (it had the same kind of sliding rim that dropped the diaper into the bag without exposing the contents/odors to the outside). It was nice because you didn't have to buy their proprietary bullshit bags, and it didn't make the fecal sausage links--it was just a big, standard bag of offal.

1. I listen to around 15 comedy podcasts at this point. I take in a ton of stand-up and sketch work. I'm a huge comedy obsessive.

This was probably answered somewhere in this thread but do you have any comedy podcast recommondations?

One thing that I didn't stress enough in the show is that the genie is great in the "my entire house doesn't smell like poop" department.

Again, I think the guys integrated things well. Good job, podcasters! You could be forgiven for throwaway episodes during this part of the year/your lives, so thanks for staying motivated and timely.

It depends on what you like. Send me a message!

Episode 255 (09/12/11) – Weddingcast 2: Second Analog Nubbin
http://www.playeronepodcast.com/2011/09/12/episode-255-091211-weddingcast-2-second-analog-nubbin

This week! We talk a little bit about video games and then a lot about the wedding weekend of our friends Mike & Katie and the various things we did. If you’re here for the vidya games then we talked about the Nintendo 3DS second analog add-on, a little about Bloodrayne Betrayal, some Jetpack Joyride, a little (very little) Resistance 3, Harmonix’s VidRhythm and some InFamous 2. Then the rest of the show is all non-game-stuff – stories and happenings from a wedding you didn’t attend yet might still be entertaining to listen to. Next week we promise more video game talk; at least we’ll be doing our Gargoyle’s Quest (GB Virtual Console) Game Club, so you have that to look forward to. Until then, enjoy this. And congratulations on the nuptials, Mike & Katie!

Ha ha, that Vidrhythm video is really something.

Yeah, we'd recorded another one right after finishing the podcast - but then the app crashed on me and I lost it all before I'd saved it to the camera roll. :'(

I hope that's not a perma-ban. Our show will never get plugged again!

It's a darn shame that Vib Rib--uh, VidRhythm crashed during the saving of our second video. It was also pretty spectacular.

Hopefully CJ posts that picture of him in the gun shirt. It's quite hilarious.

I don't recognize the guy with the goatee and the two women together. Who are they? Haven't listened to the episode yet.
The goatee guy is our friend Mike. He's the fella whose wedding we were at, and he was on the show a couple of weeks ago. The first person you see in the video is his wife.

The two gals are Nikki (who pops in about halfway through the episode) and CJ's wife.

Oh I thought the first woman was Adrian.

I hope boob discussion becomes a regular feature.

And I also hope that all dress-related drama was resolved and reimbursed.
