The Player 1 Podcast Topic

I only just finished last week's episode.

Just for the record, I still find the Mario Bros. boredom sound effects amusing.

no CJ is freakin' weird.

edit: oh shit, the Batman AC spoiler discussion was great!

I've been gone from episodes before. And I expect I'll be gone for an upcoming episode or two somewhere in November.

i shall miss you each time you don't appear.

Please don't forget to donate to the Extra-Life drive. My page is here.

Also, please to be voting on some Sega CD games for the marathon (to be broadcast). Right now I've only a handful of titles, and would like to know what else people want to see.

Thanks!

Unless CJ is feeling particularly frisky with the editing knife, it should be darn near two hours of rambling.

Yeah, just about 1:50 or so. It's making Garageband choke (which is partly why it's not out yet). :|

Not that it actually matters, but will you be playing on an actually Sega CD, Stewy, and not on an emulator?

I don't have the gear to broadcast via my Sega CD, so I'll be playing through an emulator.

Great show this week guys! Living in Naperville, and having bought my fair share of imports at Mitsuwa, the conversation really brought a smile to my face.

'Twas a fine episode and good to hear some Xenoblade recommendationing.

I don't really have any interesting import experiences. I've imported 5 DS games from Canada, but only to get them cheaper or earlier than in the UK.

I did buy a Wavebird while I was on holiday in the US long before it came out in Europe, though. That was pretty sweet.

Episode 260 (10/17/11) – Breast Intentions

This week! It’s been five years since we began this podcasting journey, and we continue it in the usual fashion: discussing the game tapes that we played this week. That includes Resistance 3, Forza 4, Guardian Heroes, Scribblenauts Remix, Ico, Greg’s Sega CD marathon, Saturn accessories, hiding content behind online passes. Plus, parenting/baby stuff!

Congratulations, sincerely. I still adore the show.

Chris' squeamish recount of his cat's balls being ripped off was a wee bit unsettling :(

Stewy getting another kid... oh boy. Here's hoping he doesn't get too many sick days off the P1P.

Glad Mik is going to be a mainstay, he's great and fits in naturally. And you should totally put together a rad pc just for your big ass tv!

Episode 261 (10/24/11) – Batman & Lombax

This week! Get your capes and cowls ready ‘cuz we’re talking Arkham City (non-spoilery). And after that we take a quick tour into the disappointing Ratchet & Clank All 4 One. Plus: Bring Me Sandwiches, Need for Speed: The Run demo, Burnout Crash, Xbox 1 classics, Vita release date, new system rumors, good/bad demos, underrated SNES/Genesis classics, games of the year, and fire alarms.

Batman And Lombax sounds like a great underrated 16-bit classic, incidentally.

They were spot on with NFS The Run. I had no interest in it but I tried the demo after this podcast and thought it was great. Looking forward to the full version but probably not day 1

That sucks with R&C. I was looking forward to hearing the whole crew play a game

The only people who would prefer Catwoman when moving around the city are people who haven't unlocked the Grapnel Boost. For the love of god, gentlemen, do the AR training. Once you have that, traveling around as Batman becomes awesome, and you'll begin to dread playing as Catwoman.

Ouch. When was the last time CJ savaged a game like he did with R&C?

Did I really savage the game? It's not like I'm not having some fun with it. To me it's just severely disappointing based on what I'd hoped a multiplayer Ratchet would have been. Especially when it comes to the weapons and upgrading/leveling them. Also, the online connectivity/play was like jumping back to the late PS2/early Xbox days with lobbies, restarting a game when someone joins, etc. Not good in 2011. :\

Mike is a great addition to the show.

I hope that Greg's right about Model 2 ports. I wonder how Sega Rally and Virtua Cop would fare.

Just started listening so not sure if it's commented on in the show but it sounds like Mike got a new mic. Much needed, his audio always stood out before.

This better be a scary episode too, don't disappoint fellas!

I agree with the review discussion. You pretty much have to review single-player and multi-player separately at this point.

Playstation Plus makes prices confusing! ;) Also, this time of year, you're better off having no idea how much money you just spent.

I got one of these microphones about a month ago, and it's great. I totally recommend them (I think CJ uses one, too):
