What's to discuss here, isn't it obvious? There's nothing wrong with the show. It is however a cartoon made for little girls. Fine if they throw some stuff in to appeal to adults, mainly parents who happen to catch the show whilst their children are watching. But that's probably as far as it should go.

As an example, I only know of one guy who watches it. He's a work colleague of a friend of mine. I've only met the guy a few times. He's between 28-30 and lives at with his parents and rarely leaves his house. Has few friends and never had a girlfriend. He's shy and awkward in work. His hobbies are PS3, Magic: TG, and hardcore watcher of MLP. He sounds like a cliché, but this is basically the impression people get when they hear about grown men watching this show. For me personally, it just so happens to be that the one guy I know who likes it, is exactly what I think of when I hear the term, brony.

I don't usually like cute stuff but as an animator it's really difficult not to admire this show. The design and animation is consistently strong. I'm not crazy about Flash symbol animation but I bet it's a fun production to work on.

Although this topic has gone into random directions, I just wanted to say I am ok with the show, as I do see my little 8 year old sister watching it, and through this show, I got to introduce her to the PPG on DVDs so it works out.

I liked seeing the gifs and some macros, and would consider it alright otherwise. I just laugh at those who hate or love it to the extreme...on either side...=)

I've avoided this topic altogether. It's actually scary that grown men want to watch a show for little girls. I remember when the avatarrs started popping up on GAF. I kept on thinking that it must be some joke / meme that I wasn't getting.

I'm fine with letting people be who they want to be. Watch what you want to watch. I just know where my head is. I'm a 31 year old man with a wife a job and a house. I go to work, watch sports / discovery, play video games, drink beer etc etc. I'm not watching cartoons for little girls.

Watching ponies is more manly than drinking beer.
