The Ridiculous Six (Adam Sandler) is the most-watched movie in the history of Netflix

I watched it. All of it. Had a few legit funny scenes. Wasn't awful. Also wasn't what I'd call Sandler-good(Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, Happy Gilmore). But if it makes people this upset, I'll gladly watch again, because there's no better salt than salt generated from something so completely meaningless.

Salt posts are as lazy as Adam Sandler movies.

Well, to be fair, this is what Netflix wanted. Hell, I'd believe they only signed the deal with Sandler because of the metrics backing up the fact people watch Adam Sandler movies despite critics savaging it.

This is just the commercial moves of Netflix's film strategy. They still have 4 films by the Duplass brothers on dock, War Machine with Brad Pitt, Jadotville with the guy from 50 shades, a Christopher Guest mockumentary, and new Pee-Wee movie with Judd Apatow producing.

Anyone out there that's watching his movies out of morbid curiosity or to poke fun at them needs to stop. I refuse to believe it's all 100% genuine interest. ;_;

Why are people surprised?

Netflix knew what they were doing when offering Sandler that contract.

They have more data analytics on viewing habits than big networks.

That beats any prognosticators.

Fuck yea. I love Sandler. Liked all his movies, it's the unique type of humour. Light but thought out.
Can't wait for the other three movies, and hopefully he signs a new contract for 100 more!

I watched 10 minutes of it, I wonder if I count (probably).

Couldn't watch any more than that, though, and I gave it a good shot. Movie is utter shit...or starts off that way, at least.

That's what you guys get for laughing at the Sandler deal in the first place. Netflix had the data to back up their choice. Netflix purchases every film The Asylum puts out as well, so there are obviously a large number of subscribers who eat up shitty films.

Also, this isn't too surprising given how few Netflix exclusive films we have had to date.
Don't you dare compare The Asylum to Sandler. The Asylum generally makes fun bad movies and they are clearly made with love for the art of bad movies. Adam Sandler makes terrible movies that actively insult their audience and are mostly just made to give Sandler and friends paid vacations.

What in the fuck? I heard two guys at work talking about how crazy funny it was.......i dont wanna know them.

Watched it with my family a few weeks ago. It was definitely a terrible film, but I laughed throughout. We were all high, it was a good time. Not the least bit surprising it's doing so well.

I enjoyed it more than my Phantom Menace rewatch last month.

Watched Phantom Menace with my mom and step-dad a few weeks ago. Definitely had less fun than Ridiculous Six, but it wasn't too bad. My mom was picking the film apart and it was glorious. And hey, I love The Duel of The Fates.

I told you guys that Netflix knew what they were doing (when they ordered six of his movies).

As someone who can't stand Adam Sandler movies...you guys need to chill out. Who gives a fuck if other people like them

See here's the thing for me. Even with it being the 'most watched' movie on Netflix its rated only 1 star on the service so it seems to me other people don't like it much either.

I knew several people that watched this, I was kind of surprised that anyone even knew about it.

They all didn't like it, for what it's worth.

It was expected. Netflix didn´t went into business with Sandler blindly. They said when they signed the contract with him that his movies were among the most watched on Netflix.

it's probably mostly people who just watched it because they heard it was so bad... at least I hope that is the case. Otherwise Idiocracy is coming true.

His humor is very unique, it tickles the mind, it's not supposed to send you bursting in laughter. It's light but thought out, the jokes stem from realistic ideals.
It most certainly doesn't insult the viewer, anyone who thinks so doesn't really understand the humour, which they don't have to.
