I saw this documentary tonight and thought it was amazing, like a real life Taken. This film got notoriety winning the best documentary at Toronto International Film Festival a few weeks ago after first being pulled by the festival runners. It tells the true story of an ex-general attempting to save his family during the barbaric attacks on October 7th. It's now released in some major cities, in the US and Canada. I highly recommend it, hopefully if it isn't playing near you, you can catch it on VOD or a streaming service later.

If you like this sort of thing, I HIGHLY suggest you check out ON WINGS OF EAGLES by Ken Follett.

It's a non-fiction book about Ross Perot (yes, that Ross Perot) and his efforts to extract two of his employees from a Iranian prison during the Iranian revolution. In the end a bunch of company executives and a retired Green Beret Colonel go in and get their coworkers out of the prison.

Super cool story and it's all true.
