well, that would be ideal in that the Astros at least have 2 great pitchers. More than you can say for the Red Sox with their luck. Also they have a great offense to play the Yanks with. Cardinals meanwhile, they may have an even better offense than the Astros and have been the league's most winning team this year. They can give them a run but their pitching will hurt. I also have to say I want to see Clemens vs NY and see if Beltran can keep this streak of homeruns going and terrorize the Yanks. Whoever could deliver more pain to the Yankees I'd like to see win

Whats most amazing to me, is the fact that Beltran has tied the Homerun record in 9 postseason games. The Astros still have at least 2 games left, and a trip to the World Series would be at least another 4. Beltran has potential to demolish the record.

Whats funny though, Pujols has 6 HR!

COME ON BOSTON!!!

I love playoff baseball. Far, far more entertaining than the regular season, in that the regular season isn't entertaining at all.

Only one game if the Bo-Sox win...relax haters!

That's what I said after the Cubs lost Game 5 of the NLCS last year. Up 3-2 thought it was in the bag but nothing is guaranteed! You need to put teams away when you have the chance.

No doubt, but with the momentum the 'Sox have now it's a mighty tall task for Mo.

Harr harr harr. Extra innings, bitches.

Damn...I was kind of hoping the game would end so I could play some Shin Megami Tensei. Oh well. Go Yanks!

Nothing would be sweeter than to see the Yankees collapse and lose four straight to the REd Sox.

Unfortunately, it's more likely that in true Sox fashion, they'll win three straight and lead 6-4 going into the ninth of Game 7 and cough it up.

i i know i shouldnt even reply to this grotesque abomination of a post but i couldnt let it slide.

mr. bob is so used to seeing his team not seal the deal that he actually thinks a comeback for the sox is possible.

Sorry, I'm getting those 2001 WS Game 7 vibes.

1) The reason the Yankees always beat the BoSox is because the Yankees have awesome signs like WHO'S YOUR DADDY and EVERYDAY IS FATHERS DAY IN YANKEE STADIUM whereas Sox fans have signs like BELIEVE and I BELIEVE and DON'T FORGET TO TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE AND BELIEVE BEFORE YOU GO TO WORK TODAY, DEAR. No team that has those friggin BELIEVE signs ever wins, and the only reason the Marlins beat the Yankees was because they couldn't afford them.

2) You just know the Yankees are going to win this game now. Just to make the Sox fans hurt that much more. gg on the 3 pitches 3 strikes guy with 1 out too. And Ortiz contributed the equivolent of IAWTP to that inning.

3) I've changed Joe's tag because he got someone else to change it without asking me, and that's just mean.

Wouldn't that be the first time in Playoff history a team has blown a 3-0 lead?
Between the MLB, NBA, and NHL, a team has come back to win from down 0-3 only twice, both times in the NHL. It happened once in the 40s and once in the 70s.
