I'll be honest, this has me intrigued

Zac Efron is suiting up in red bathing trunks and hitting the beach.

Efron is in negotiations to star opposite Dwayne Johnson in Paramount’s Baywatch, the big-screen take on the 1990s television series about California lifeguards.

After years of development, the project seems to finally be ramping up and in recent weeks adding Seth Gordon as director. Efron’s casting sets the movie up for a production start in early 2016, likely in February.

Seems like a buddy cop film

The story centers on a by-the-book and very serious lifeguard (Johnson) who is forced to team up with a young rule-flouting hothead (Efron) in order to save their beach from environmental destruction at the hands of an oil tycoon. Damian Shannon and Mark Swift wrote the most recent draft.

What a unique, original storyline!

this should do numbers. they need to let the casting person for Ballers pick the women cause that show got the best looking women on tv.

This has to be a joke right? They can't be serious with a plot like this. If it wont play like a parody of 90s Lifetime Made For TV Movies it won't work at all.

The Rock and Zac Effron? yeah whatever.

It's not the male protagonists that people watched baywatch for >.>;;

This is a 21st century reboot where the men are objectified instead.

And I'm absolutely fine with that. I mean, The Rock and Efron? In small bathing trunks?
