For 20 Eurodollars it would have been an instabuy but at 30 ? Sorry but...nope

It's an Ubisoft title so it'll drop in price 2-3 months from now, I can wait.

It's on GP, so great for people that have that sub and can play it on PC if they have GP Ultimate or console.
I'm only about 15 minutes in which is essentially the opening story and tutorial, but the controls feels good so far.

I tried it day one on early access last year but it was so light on content and variety I refunded it quickly (plus that was when all the characters were purple). Looks like they've done a lot of good work since then but I think I'll still wait for a sale, and a Switch version.

Encountered my first bug after going to the next area after the opening where it couldn't sync the save with the cloud...."Muffin" something was the error code

1st boss whooped my ass. Game is sick. My only concern is the repetition setting in. We'll see how the roguelike elements actually are designed.

On to run #2. The art is gorgeous, and the music is great.

This game is so ugly. The main menu looks like a screen size calibration tool and things don't get much better once you are in game.

Boss 1 down. Looks like there's a ton of weapons to unlock. Could be a grind.

They have some good ideas on the roguelike elements. You can unlock stages and start at different places instead of always random or always stage 1 forever. They have NPCs coming to your camp, story segments, and even multipart quests. Some good decisions here.

Whoda thunk the best way to revive PoP would be by two slick 2D games.

Controls feel good.

A bit complicated though. You can dash as well as run up on walls to the side. Need to practice a bit so I stop confusing between the two moves, both on two triggers.

I'm prioritizing my cinders to unlocking medallions as they probably have more long term use as opposed to the weapons. And since it is RNG on what starting weapons/medallions you get, it might be better not to have more weapons unlocked so that you are more familiar with them. At least with Medallions, they're more of a non-active thing to use.

Overall, it's a good GP/PS+ type of game.
Doesn't standout graphically, but has that "one more run" addictive element to it.

I did the opposite and got all the available weapons. Got the extra life on the first companion skill tree. I'm pretty hooked. I can blow through that first boss now, but haven't quite figured out how to deal with the normal enemies on stage 3 with that giant AoE attack. Hits me every time and does a ton of damage.

I've only had a few builds really work out yet. Had one that triggered Vayru's breath on any dash, and another one that triggered explosives anytime I have vayru's breath. So yeah, just nonstop exploding everywhere. Had another with 20% chance to trigger burn on attack, and the Caestus weapon which is nonstop attacks, so yeah, burn on everything.

My main roadblock last night was trying to find where to progress on some of these quests. Need a handle for the aquaduct, a captured person at the Hun camp, etc. Scoured everything but didn't find it just yet.

Game is exceeding my expectations. Definitely was addicted and eager to jump back in tonight.

The tree is another thing I haven't quite settled on what path to take. At least you can reset the tree, so no risk on choosing a path.
Eventually it'll all be unlocked.

Beat the 1st boss a few times now, but have also died to him forgetting I had heals available. Only attacks he really hits me with now is the charge attack because I stupidly think I can dash through them instead of climbing the wall to get over it. It's a bad habit from Hollow Knight that I've developed...lol

I'm taking the same path everytime for now, but it might be better to explore more. Going to jump back in after the Silksong announcement, but I find myself itching to jump in now :)
If Silksong shadow drops today, fml, but in a good way.

Downloaded this and sword of the sea at the same time on PS+ the other day. I didn't know it was new. I was wondering why I didn't remember seeing reviews of it.

I started the game yesterday and I have to say that I am quite impressed, it feels like the Dead Cells 2 I always wanted.

Art direction, movement, combat, music, gameplay loop: everything is top notch!

What an awesome surprise.

Rescued the captive. Died on boss 2. Honestly blown away by the quality of the combat, platforming, art, music and even the steady progression of unlocks.

I wish it wasn't a roguelike but its one of the better ones I've ever played. And it sorta fits Prince of Persia lore to rewind time. The fusion of acrobatic combat and fluid movement is nearly unmatched in 2D games.

Freed the captive last night as well and then proceeded to get destoryed on the platforming in the next level in just one area...lol
I got this "red flame" resource from claiming "bounties" for killing certain enemies, but I don't where you're supposed to use it. Could be possibly something that opens up later?

Spent quite some time with it today. Really well made. The last roguelike I played was Have a Nice Death and PoP is clearly a better game thanks to combat, platforming and progression.

I didn't get that yet item yet, but I did get a glitch where something popped up on the mind map I didn't do yet lol. Going to try and make it back to boss #2 tonight. Got more companions to unlock potion +2, and working towards extra life +2.
