I gotta ask, because that shit have been haunting me for waaay too long.

Is there any reference/official theme of that fight song?
That's the classic Bart vs. Milhouse fight music... you know, I've always assumed that first made its debut during Three Men and a Comic Book but I'm incorrect in that assumption. It actually first materialized during their scuffle in Bart's Friend Falls in Love before Bart brains Milhouse with the Magic 8-Ball.

Because I haven't shared a 60 Second Simpsons Review in a while... here's the one from this episode.

As for where that music originated, I believe THIS was in fact its origin. You can give the kudos to Alf Clausen himself... although as for what served as its inspiration I can't say. I believe it was supposed to be evocative of the sort of track you'd hear in a Hitchcock film.

I was thinking of the bit of the Homer Loves Flanders episode where Homer waits in line for more that a week just so he could get tickets to the football game, and I thought to myself...what jokes are rendered anachronistic in this day and age? My example given would fit that, given that today Homer could just as easily booked his tickets online and saved all the trouble.

It depends, there are clearly still people lining up like that for sports events. And looking at events like TomorrowLand, 'easily', is also somewhat understated.

Dropping in to say that for me personally this little scene is one of Marge's standout scenes in the whole series, and she's technically not even in it.

Marge is the best mother ever.

I always tear up at her song.

I also loved little moments with Marge like the one in Summer of 4 ft 2:

Lisa: Mom, why don't I have any friends?
Marge: We have each other. When I was a lonely little girl I always dreamed that someday my daughter would be my best friend.

So my parents were watching S26E16 "Sky Police" wherein Chief Wiggum gets a jetpack, which is huge and is essentially two jet turbines strapped together. During a musical number where he enjoys the jetpack, he lands on two graffiti artists, shredding them up in the turbines. You can see the blood on the sidewalk.

That's like the grossest thing I've seen The Simpsons do.

Just rewatched that sequence. Strikes me as kind of tame compared to eyes popping out of people's heads in Season 22's The Scorpion's Tale, the face removal shenanigans of Sideshow Bob in Season 21's The Bob Next Door or the Simpson kids getting butchered in recent Treehouse of Horror installments... but I can see it being rather gratuitous if you're not expecting it.

But the blood is pink, not bright red, so it's okay, right?
