My girlfriend is a big “The Sims” fan and I want to give for her a portable version of the Sims.

The first Sims for NDS is only a port of the GBA game, but “The Sims 2” looks an all-new game.

I want to know if this “The Sims 2” became a good game. It is really Sims game or only other adventure game using this franchise’s name?

Did it have a constructor mode to build your own hose?

How is the graphics if comparable with "The Sims 1" for PC?

Is this game have some good use of the DS futures (2 screens, touch and mic) ?

Thanks for the help!

I've been working on a review for this for a while now.

Basically it's more like Sim Hotel. Your car busts down in the middle of nowhere and being strapped for a place to stay and a source of income, the local hotel owner just decides to call it quits and gives you the hotel to run.

There's nothing to build here, and instead of simply issuing your Sims commands, you control the Sim itself (I don't know how this is for the other versions of the Sims 2). You still have to take care of your Sim, but there are no indiviudal stats meters for hunger, sleeping, etc. Instead you get one big sanity meter which encompasses pretty much everything that you do in the game.

The graphics look about as they were if there had been a Sims game on the N64.

The game has an interesting use of the DS' features. You have to build some rooms to get these features (someone else does the building for you), but after you do you can do things such as create your own music using the touch screen (using a keyboard). So, you can make your own individual room music (each separate room can have its own music or you can set them all to have the same music). You also have a cell phone in this game, so you can also make your own ring tones as well.

Then there's an art musuem with 5 canvases (4 of the same size and one larger one) in which you can create your own art with the touch screen and people will buy the paintings.

The rest of the items which use the touch screen or microphone are pretty substandard. Things like blowing off dust that comes out of your vacuum when you're looking for items to sell. Or using the touch screen to pump up a water gun.

It's still a pretty fun game.
