Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

The Sinking City 2 will launch in 2025 on PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

Explore Arkham - Traverse flooded streets and abandoned mansions, uncovering secrets on foot or by boat.

Good news is it'll be funded a couple times over by the deadline. I just wish they hadn't committed themselves to a Dec 2025 release date when independently releasing on 3 platforms and still only showing 'pre-alpha' work.

The first one when it comes to gameplay was literally AWFUL. I dont have hopes for this game, I hope I am wrong though

Yeah I found it pretty rough to look at and it just didn't feel good to play. And this was the PS5 version.

Hope this one turns it all around and learns from stuff like SH2R, AW2 (even though it sucks) and the REmakes. It looks cool.

The Stinking Shitty getting a sequel is crazy in this atmosphere
Set reasonable goals and budget yourself appropriately and anything is possible. It's when everyone is trying to be the next GTA or Fortnite or Overwatch, that the disasters happen.

On topic, I have yet to play the first one. I was interested due to the Lovecraft themes, but the gameplay did not look great and my backlog is too big to justify buying something that's only okay or is just going to sit in my library for another year or two before I can actually play it. Also, being a new dad has limited my free time, unsurprisingly.

Man, i wanted to play the first game for YEARS and upon getting it a couple of months ago...yeah
Jank jank jank jank jank everywhere, stilted animations, awful character models, asset reuse galore and J-A-N-K, needless to say, i dropped it after 3-4 hours...

Apparently, i need the bare MINIMUM of production values as to be able to play a game 'cause shit like this...oooof.

It's a shame but, it is what it is

The first one i enjoyed in the first hours but it became repetitive pretty quick.

Visually they improved a lot, this looks good, those eastern/central europeans studios work their ass off.

I love the psychology of the first game. The monsters on deck, with sharp spears, creepy. It made me sad. We are the monsters! The protagonist is the whale.

Sometimes I also believe that it's us that are raising hell for farm animals, with us as devils as the maintainers.

Not gonna lie, I like the change from detective horror to action/survival horror. Playing Sinking City 1 sometimes felt like playing another Sherlock Holmes game. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I'm always hungry for more survival horrors.

They are making it more action when action was the worst part of the first one, good luck i guess.

I think they should have doubled down on the investigation stuff, that's what made the game unique, not being wish.com resisdent evil that are already kinda clunky by default.

I watched the videos of the first game and it was an unbearable narcolepsy... Lots of talking and generic action... Frogwares at the forefront of boring.

Completed the first game and it was incredibly janky and buggy. Lots of buildings and assets are copypasta. Very distracting.

The vibe and atmosphere was top notch, but obviously more ingredients are needed for a good meal.
