The Smurfs

Can You Imagine What SureAI Is Going To Do With Garfield?
I'm going to get a lot of hate but I loved the Smurfs as a kid and still like them.

I know it's pretty sugary coated but I really love the world and characters for a kid's cartoon.

I grew up with it in the 80s. I even saw the American release of the Smurfs and the Magic Flute when I was a tater tot. It was different because it focused on Johan and Peewit.

Johan (Raziel from Soul Reaver) was your typical knight in shining armor from a long time ago. I think a Johan and Peewit video game maybe platformer would be cool.

Back to Smurfs, I just dig the world. Homnibus and Balthazar. Oh no and that "Christmas Stranger" who was truly so evil even Gargamel was like, "nope."

Speaking of Gargamel, who doesn't love him? He's a poor wizard who just wants to make Smurfs into gold or eat them. Maybe he's a negative Jewish stereotype or maybe not but you gotta love the man and his cat Azrael.

Anyone ever play the video game on the 2600 or Colecovision? I had it for 2600 and omg is that game good.

All in all, I can't recommend the Smurfs enough. If you don't like it, show it to your kids. It's one of the best Saturday morning cartoons ever made.

OG Smurfs were great, the newest version though...

Used to love that show. I think it contributed to my love of enormous forests and trees in fantasy settings, like in Kingdoms of Amalur or FFXIV

So why do those smurfs all have tight pants and a hat, your life is ruined.

One of my favourite games on the Colecovision. I traded my Atari 2600 for a Coleco with Smurfs and Ladybug. Man I was happy. I don't remember the cartoon so much but occasionally I'd get a figure when we were on long road trips - they used to sell them in garages over here in the UK.
