I read comics fairly often: Buffy, Hack/Slash, Spider-Man, Daredevil, Moon Knight, Batman, etc. They're a fun median between literary and visual entertainment.
I LOVED both the Daredevil and Arrow series. I think the extended format allows the characters to breathe more, and it's fun to follow their adventures as they go.
The pre-MCU stuff was right on the money for me. Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, the Fox X-Men movies, and the first two Blade movies remain my favorites of the genre.
I wish so badly I could understand the appeal of the MCU. Something just feels 'off' but apparently they're most comic fans' wet dreams. I just dont get it. It all feels so banal.
Can anyone else relate?
