Once you get the hang of things it's really fun. There's some things that really bug me, and the griefing stuff needs to be reevaluated heavily. But playing and co-op with everyone is a hoot.
I told ya guys this would happen lol
But seriously, it's really easy for one person to completely ruin the town and get away with it as it is now.

They literally drained the towns resource sticking 10-20 things here and almost everyone left. I don't think anyone here can even afford the tool by the looks of it. We're about to be trampled by monsters too so I figure this is the cutting off point for me tonight.

One other thing that exacerbates things during the beta is that everyone is a resident and can build a house right away, which means they can disassemble among other things.
Ah so becoming a resident is going to take a bit of work in the full game?
It costs 1500 freeman dollars by the looks of it.

I didn't play the eu beta, surprised to see my town improved from the us beta
But it's still in a mess, multiple ministry of labor, 4 or 5 power generator

Sounds like my type of game. Is there any PvP aspect in the game, or is it entirely co-operative?
Also, is 1 Gaffer hosting a world that everyone's joining (similar to Minecraft), or something else?
From the way you guys describe it, perhaps every new player should spawn into the world with little or no privileges (like destroying or mining), and privileges could be upgraded/downgraded for any individual player by the host (or mods), again similar to Minecraft.

The propaganda video at the beginning says you'll need one billion tickets to become a resident. I'm guessing there'll be a shortcut of some sort, though.

There is a known issue where the bus will sometimes get stuck, even without the bus stops being blocked.

This is something that worried me (and one of the reasons why the heavy DOF might make sense). The towns right now aren't too big, but even then it felt like the framerate was going down a bit at the town. Once the towns get bigger, I wonder how they'll fare.
We should have one more hour I think? Originally it was from 9 to 12 (Japan time), it got extended 2 hours so... yeah, one more hour supposedly.
Maybe to prevent grieving, make it so that they need to solve a puzzle as well? That seems fair considering you need to solve to build as well

If the same griefer gets enough Snubs from different players, they get auto-kicked. Adding a way for everyone to vote someone out seems like a possibility though.
