(First OT - Nothing fancy but it's something)

Oh nice, i like that we know when the other episodes are releasing. I hope they do that for all their games from now on.

Still praying for a second season of Tales from the Borderlands. My surprise game of 2015.

I played and loved TWD Season 1, 400 Days and Season 2.
Is this related in any way to those games' storyline(s) (prequel/sequel) or is completely separate? o_O

The other TWD games are not directly connected to the comic AFAIK
However this game is 100% directly connected to the comic

Does choices in this game series have any sort of impact on season 3?

I'm not sure if it's officially been stated yet, but if I had to guess I'd assume that we might see one or two of their original characters from this miniseries show up in S3 sort of like 400 days had some of their characters show up in relatively minor roles.

Thanks for the info.
It's a pass for me then.
I watch the TV show, play the games, but don't read the comics. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Can't wait for Season 3.

It may seem very daunting to start the comic now that it's 150+ issues in, but I assure you that it's fantastic and well worth the time investment.

Agreed. And they have the graphic novel style as well. So it seems less daunting when 20+ issues are crammed into one book.

It is what I am going to do for the new Star Wars ones. Just wait for the larger 'novels' of them in hardcover.

This will be my first telltale game I play episode by episode as it is released
I have always just played the whole game once all eps are out
Even played walking dead seasons 1 and 2 all at once

Real interested to see how this goes

Really looking forward to this. I do find it a bit odd that they would link directly to the comics after only teasing a few characters here and there previously, but it will be interesting to see their take on what Michonne
was up to during the time she left the group.

Pricing...?...guessing 15 all together with no season pass since its only 3 episodes(probably be 20 though).

I believe that to be incorrect. Events in Season 1 are prequel events to the comic, IIRC.

There are at least two characters (Glenn and the chick that hung out with the governor and shot Ricks wife and Kid) that appear in the game prior to events in the comic (in story chronology).

Their appearances aren't meaningful to the events in the comic, but I believe they are canon.

I always took the games to be events happening alongside the comic, but not directly interacting with.

"Daryl will remember that"

Super excited for this.

This and TWD S1/2/400 Days are directly connected to the comics, it's just that this is the first one where we actually play a comic character. They all exist in the comic universe.

I wonder how directly this will reference things that happen in the comic just before she heads off. Could potentially spoil the show for people who pick this up wothout realising it's tied to the comic.

If I remember correctly you're right, the Lily in the game was supposed to be the Lily from the comics but then they released a novelization that retconned that so Telltale actually went back and changed the name of some of the achievements that made mention of her being the same character.

So this is what I got from Telltale Forums Q&A

I guess it is connected then, I thought it was a completely separate thing.

Will wait for the first sale and play through this in one go. I don't like waiting to play the next part. Should be in a sale by May/June. Excited nontheless.

Will definitely play the game, but as always with TT, I'll wait for all 3 episodes to release.
It is just so annoying to play for 2 hours and then wait 30 days.

Love the series. Can't justify giving Telltale money up front when they're so bad at sticking to a reasonable release schedule and for how forced/poor Game of Thrones was.

Does The Walking Dead Michonne sync with the game saves in season 1,2 and 400 days? I ask because I haven't played season 1,2 on my current game console which is Xbox One.

Answer is literally 3 posts above you, it doesn't (as far as we know).

I am waiting for the day where TT launches their Steam titles at midnight. It's so annoying that they launch them at 7pm here (store update time), like literally no chance that I play this due to work.

I have avoided reading any posts in this thread because I don't want to see any spoilers.

If I only watch the show will this spoil anything?
It might, yeah. This game supposedly takes place between issues 126 and 139. The TV show is currently adapting material around issue 91 or so, so there might be a line or two for comic fans that could spoil a future plot development in the show.

I suspect they'll play it smart and keep it vague, but I'd wait on impressions if you're worried.

Possibly. If you're worried, you should probably read the comics and catch up to whatever the current issue is. But I wouldn't worry that much. After all
Glenn and Hershel
were only in for like 5 mins max of Season 1. I doubt Michonne's gonna have some earth shattering revelation between comic and show here.

Played the first episode on Xbox One and it was surprisingly stable anyway, I really enjoyed the episode since it was a change of pace from their regular series - straight into the action and slaying Walkers!

Can you reveal the plot? Spoiler tag it all obviously.

Any callbacks to the other two games?

Thanks, I'll wait to hear what people say. I'm kind of hoping they wouldn't put anything in there to spoil the show because I'd have to imagine a lot of people who have played the other Walking Dead games are the same as me and haven't read the comics either.
