The Walking Dead, based on the comic created by Robert Kirkman, is back on Sunday, October 16th at 9pm on AMC. The premiere is a 90 minute episode. AMC will air six one-hour episodes each week before putting the show on hiatus. It'll return Sun., Feb. 12 in its regular 9PM timeslot. Also, just a quick heads up that Netflix put S1 up for streaming this morning.
Though TWD is an undeniable ratings hit for AMC, it has been a tumultuous off season for the show. Frank Darabont is gone as show runner with Glenn Mazzara taking the reins, and AMC's budgetary decisions have been a constant distraction. It's tough to say how the show will be in S2 after an uneven first season, but I'm curious enough to check it out and see what happens.
Just a reminder to avoid or spoiler tag comic book spoilers in this thread. If you want to talk about the comics past where we are in the series, please use the thread for the comics: The Walking Dead (comics). For simple questions such as "When is this character going to appear on the show?", use spoiler tags and label your spoilers appropriately to give people an idea how far into the comics you're referencing. At times this is a little bit of a hassle, but keep in mind that this is a thread for the television show, not for the comics. Thank you. EDIT: Also, please read the highlighted text at the bottom of the OP.
