Should’ve name it the Hogs, would’ve been good for a lot of reasons. 1st off back in the 80s the offensive line was nicknamed the Hogs. Then in a ways can still able to use Skins as a nickname like short for Pigskin. That’s what is nick name of the footballs or was it also use to be made from pig skins. Then you have to reference to all the pork in Washington politics. lol

There is a big difference between redskins and the Blackhawks and their logo. Washington isn’t going to keep the logo associated with the name. The Blackhawks are named after a Native American in Illinois history. The logo is presumed to be him. It’s not derogatory like redskins.
