Kamek needs to be a villian for a future Mario game. Having Bowser be the villian every time can get old.
Only problem with that is he isn't imposing, he'd perhaps have to have really silly and big looking henchmen or creations.
There's so much potential with his magic wand. He could do all sorts of destruction with it if they made his wand super powerful.
Like he could create scary bosses/monsters, tear apart cities/towns/worlds, turn Mario's friend's into creatures.

If someone can make a post that they regularly update whenever there's new news or a rumor, so people like myself would stop asking if anything is new. Hmm.. so a Kinect-including, one machine future it may well be. Bank on third parties keeping the peace while advertising to the sought-after expanded audience.. seems most likely, the more I think about it. So long as MS remembers that E3 is more for the traditonal audience, they'd be on their way to avoiding alienating the core, similar to how Nintendo has alienated some..

Nintendo has enough characters,enemies and the likes to make a spin-off without Mario, Bowser and Peach.
I think mentioned before.. the idea of like a New Super Mario Bros USA
That has Luigi, Wario, Waluigi and Daisy as your characters. 4 player co-op with the stats from SMB 2.
Could bring back Wart or other forgotten Mario foes.
Gamers were never really their focus, so I think they'll actually trip up and alienate the core. It's only a matter of time.
I think Baby Bowser should get his own game.
He goes on a quest to save Bowser, and different Koopa kids would help you in different ways.
You can breath fire to kill enemies like Spyro games, or hide in your shell to avoid attacks. You can hide in your shell and fling your shell at enemies.
Give me that.

I got my final this coming Monday. It's actually great timing, because next week is when I need to start seriously preparing costuming and sets for the conventions and Burning Man regionals I'll be going to over the next few months. Oy, gotta learn how to measure, cut, flatten and drill holes in EMT conduit to make a giant geodesic dome.
At least it will be over by next week. Anyways I wanted to make a recommendation regarding news and stuff. No one has to do it but it would be nice. The M&L DS idea could work well with the Wii U. You controlling Baby Bowser affects something in the past on the sub-screen which helps Bowser in the present on the tv. It's kind of like how M&L help Bowser.

I know technically Peach is not Bowser Jr's mother, but we all know that deep down she is and Nintendo is just hiding the darker subject of their Mario games (the raping of Peach by Bowser, a bigass dinosaur dude)

They're not going to have super-cartoony abstract expressions. Nintendo chose the current SMB artstyle for exactly that reason.
They did do it in the Mario & Luigi games, and some with Luigi in Luigi's Mansion (note, both came before NSMB).

I'm expecting a dissapointing third party support, with the already known games showed, most of the surprise will come from Nintendo itself, first party games will look gorgeous.
Capcom will be only announced as "working on Wii U" but not specific titles, Konami will wait and see, same as Namco, there's not GTAV for Wii U, Ubisoft support will be strong, EA will be decent, same as Activision, still some multiplatform titles will not appear on Wii U because the system demography.

Sure, even the current hardware could handle more sopisticated character models/rigging and expressions. Were they practical for gameplay purposes? Probably not. Watching your characters' back for 90% of the game doesn't change with HD.
Still, the ghosts in Luigi's Mansion were wonderfully animated.
No offense to the man, but it'd be like saying, "welp, kids.. no Santa this year - but here's the head of his socks-and-underware knitting division."
I'd say the same if Wario were the Launch Day headliner as well, hehe..

You and me both, man. I also find it can be hard to play catch up in this thread, since I really only have time to post after 8:30 or so. So I usually just try to reply to recent discussions and new news/leaks. But I'd also love to see a "catch up post" every now and then.

One of my favorite comedic gaming moments of all time is when you first fight Bowser in NSMB Wii and you think that
you've rescued Peach but then it turns out to be Kamek in drag who grins with a mischievous "Gotcha!" expression at the screen.
E3 is just the beginning. It usually only increases speculation around here. I'd imagine it'll be more gameplay and system feature oriented though.
