I'm still unsure if i'll make the thread or not. I wasn't able to have a Wii U confirmed developer with up-to-date knowledge of the system, to vouch for the latest batch of info i got.

Basically, it will be: "i've heard it's that, blablabla"
followed by "who is this guy" from people not participating here or in PC threads where i post sometimes
followed by people defending me & my info
i like the debates, the speculation, the theorycrafting, anticipating things from the info
but the quote wars, not much lol
I'll see :)

Then you should post it here first, and let us decipher it and tell you if it's worth a new thread.
Seems like the most logical solution.

this is not life or death, just some information on a game console. just post it here. if it is huge and really thread worthy, someone will open one and quote you and you'll be able to take part in the discussion. that's how it works best all the time.

Teasing like you do in this thread will propably get you a temp ban of you make a thread about it. I wouldn´t risk it and just stick to the good old speculation thread!

People WILL want your head for a teasing thread! Especially if its about Nintendo!

Yeah I agree with this.

It's one thing to tease in this thread, but that teasing style won't fly with an actual thread. This is because not everyone is use to Ideaman's style of posting hints and rumors like the people in this thread are. It will cause a big flamewar and lots of anger.

If you are going to make a thread, it has to be done in a less teasing way or it'll just cause chaos.

HAHA wow on the Bonus Round Pachter joked about the vitality sensor, and then Geoff said "maybe it's back in the controller." Isn't that what's rumored to be that little pad on the left side of the front of the WUC? Weird.

I want the time spent watching Bonus Round back.

Vita chipping away at 3DS' market? I didn't know a gentle gust of wind could chip away at solid rock.

And Sessler.... GOOD GOD. It's like he learned nothing from Wii.

And them talking about casual market like they know anything about it, considering all the time they spend pretending it doesn't exist, makes me laugh. Why target the casual market when the brand you've created does that for you?! Better to focus on the core gamer, since they're the harder sell.

Satterfield seemed to be the only one on that show with some sense to talk.

It was a huge abomination.

Btw, Weevil's only banned for a month.

You should have posted sexy adult Isaac. Mmmmmmmm............

No.
That can't be the vitality sensor. It's literally impossible because of the tech it uses.

I just had a wild idea: what if the Wii-U has 3DS guts inside? At one point when asked about support for multiple controllers, Miyamoto said that they would have used 3DS's as controllers if they had planned to do that. Imagine the huge surprise when Nintendo announces that your Wii-U can also play every 3DS game, just not in 3D! This could be a feature which drives sales of *both* systems.

there are more retro metroids with awful samus than there are good samus.

also, i thought hunters samus as actually a good take on the zero suit look. best out of all of them, really.

Would be a huge waste of money.

How do you mean? A pulse sensor can be quite small, and that is basically all what the vitality sensor is. Everything else is (or was suppose to be) software based.

It needs to surround the finger to be able to send a light through your skin in order to work.
What you're talking about is different technology, though it still isn't that, since this is obviously plastic, and not metal, which those need to be.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulse_oximetry

A sensor is placed on a thin part of the patient's body, usually a fingertip or earlobe, or in the case of an infant, across a foot. Light of two different wavelengths is passed through the patient to a photodetector. The changing absorbance at each of the wavelengths is measured, allowing determination of the absorbances due to the pulsing arterial blood alone, excluding venous blood, skin, bone, muscle, fat, and (in most cases) nail polish.

A single spot on the controller can't do that, since there would be no photodetector.

Hey, the posts where i write my infos are like 90% of content and 10% of an annoying cliffhanger :p
But yep, no tease at all for the thread i may create.
the other that i planned will be added in Ace Wii U padlet i think.

Anyway, do we have an IRC or something in case GAF explodes regularly like today ?

Did he specifically mention third party games? And i'm assuming he's not referring to the ones we already know about

Yes, he did.
And probably not, since he said it before.

Shane said:
“I will say one thing that I can say without getting in any trouble is that the launch lineup for the Wii U is going to surprise some people. It’s going to be pretty damn good.”

What do you mean?wasnt he saying positive things about it?

He said that the Wii U (the console itself) was dated tech, not sure what he meant by that though. I'm guessing he means by today's standards it's "dated," but it's still superior to PS360, obviously.

It seems to be some metal around it. I have a pedometer that has a tiny spot where you can place your finger to messure your pulse. But i agree that it is most likely not included in the WiiU controller, it is just that such a thing would be possible =)

well then he will have to say the same thing about ps4 and xbox3, since those will be dated too...

Michael Pachter was probably one of the most mature guys there next to Shane.

Pachter agrees that Wii U will get lots of games. And he actually likes the controller and thinks it's very intuitive.

It's not like the guy is condemning the system.
