They also have a cinematic, QTE heavy corridor shooter.
Well, at least they'll be gorgeous

If it's going to sell like SKYRIM I bet this will not happen, lol.
wow, lets hope the series goes out with a bang then
I'd imagine at most they'd sort of reach a middle ground: no more Witcher... because they finished what they wanted to do with Geralt, and create a new character elsewhere in the world to focus on, if they don't just let you make your own. More to do in the world, they just don't need to bullshit something involving Geralt. You don't know CDPR then.
They have two teams though.
Something else is replacing The Witcher.
I'm looking forward to see where they go next with fantasy stuff.
They are truly unrivaled in the genre.
Hmm true.
CDPR seem to be able to manage/handle a lot simultaneously. Are they one of the larger devs in Europe?
And by bang, I mean an orgy with Triss, Chani, Yennefer, that vampire chick from TW2, that milk maid from TW1, various prostitutes, etc. etc.
Dont forget Adda! lol

As long as they do another RPG after, that's ok i guess. Just please don't start making mobile crap.
I mean if they decide to go back to the fantasy genre and either try to create their own world or license out another IP.Are they actually going to do any new fantasy stuff?
"Technology has progressed to where we can finally tell the story the way we want, with the visuals we want, in the world we imagined. This will be the ultimate fantasy RPG experience, and while we're hardly out of stories to tell, we believe it's time for us to look to new worlds and new horizons to keep pushing the boundaries of what we can create."
This kind of makes it sound like this is the end of their fantasy line as well if it's the "ultimate" one.

How many satisfying endings have we had this generation? Very few, since every dev is so sequel-minded.
I'm...okay with this. It can be difficult to move on from a successful franchise when it is at its peak, but going out on top is far preferable to a slow decline as something gets milked endlessly and the developers' passion subsides. Try for a perfect Witcher game, close up all the plot threads for an orgasmic ending and call it a day.
