I go by the GOG Galaxy activity tracker, since the in-game one seems completely broken. Some people say it reports way too high, and for me it actually reset when I was in the mid 40s.

Just keep in mind it doesn't count offline playtime.

If I remember correctly you can dismantle Specter Dust to get it.

Yeah, I believe so.

I think this game might be too much for me

I'm 35 hours and still in Velen/Novigrad. The game is great but I can see myself getting worn out soon.

Really hope something happens soon to keep my interest

WOW!!! That would be a shame. I'm over 150 hours and STILL in Velen/Novigrad. I have two story missions left but don't want to do them until I complete as much as I possibly can which includes side quests, treasure hunts, undiscovered locations and even random events/quests.

Never played the previous two games but this game is simply outstanding in nearly every aspect. Not perfect but easily a 9/10 or higher and should be used as the bar in which all future open world games are judged by. So much content and stuff to do and best of all, every main quest or side quest or contract or whatever has been good or better. Even the short quick random events/quests are good.

What a fucking game!!! :)

I am sure this has been beat to death by now but the framerate on PS4 is just killing this game for me. When it starts to rain in the game world it is borderline unplayable.

Might switch to Batman until they can get it fixed, can they increase the font size while they are at? 55" TV that I sit around 10' away from and it is so hard to read.

I'm about to finish Act 1 and I've been told that doing so will abandon secondary quests? I can't find any real explanation about it anywhere. Can someone explain what all I need to do before finishing the Act 1 main quest?

any tips or suggestions on this trophy? it's the last one I have left for a platinum but I'm having trouble with conflicting guides on this.

I'm pretty sure I'm already screwed cause I skipped the tutorial in the beginning since it was my 2nd play through (and I wasn't intending to platinum this game at that time) so I think I already have one guaranteed miss. but what's the best route to help see what cards
you have or what you still need?

Why is levelling up so slow in this game? :(

Also when I pick up quests from the quest board, where do I go to find them? I can only see my main quests and completed quests on the menu.

It will cancel out any story related secondary quests not all of them if that answers your question. I'm not exactly sure how this affects them all because I had done all of them (that I know of) before continuing.

An example would be
Finding Letho. I can't give any more because there is a lot more to go that I could spoil for you.

Well I just finished the game, just a question for those who played on GoG Galaxy: did anyone else's stats reset? I'm not particularly bothered, but when I finished the game and came out all my playtime/achievements reset and only counted my last play session. So now I have one hour played and one single achievement for beating the game. Just seems like a really odd glitch (I've reset plenty of times and so on, it's still bugged), in real time it took me about 61 hours doing a health dose of side-quests and moderate (not excessive) exploration. I was about level 34 in the end, although you gain an absolute ton of EXP for the main quests in Act 2/3. Absolutely fantastic game.

This just happened to me today, kinda sucks but no big deal~ :p

I dunno, the big pop-up that says "If you proceed, some of your quests may fail" seems pretty clear to me.

If you're talking about
the Isle of Mists, that's like 80% through the story, not the mid-point lol.

Yeah, that's the end of Act 2. Pretty sure 'Ugly Baby' gives no such warning, and a few quests failed when I
found Uma
.

I think I might have f'd my chances at getting the "good" ending.

Do you have to hit EVERY choice correctly to get that or is it a weighted average?

You don't need every single one.

You only get a pop-up like that before
the Isle of Mist
, though. Afaik, there are a few quests that can fail before that during the 'Ugly Baby' quest - at least the quests involving those characters who will be in
Kaer Morhen, i.e. Lambert (Following the Thread) and Yen (The Last Wish)
.

My spoiler free hint would be something like "do all secondary quests involving major characters before pursuing a particular main quest where you're supposed to pick up somebody to bring him/her to a certain place".

She's charming in her own way. Geralt doesn't take lip from anyone, yet I think that's why he's so drawn to her.

Yeah I kinda get where you coming from. I'm also trying to roleplay the game according to what I think the characters themselves would say, I think that's a nice change from the RPG's that are more reliant on your own opinion on things and not the character in the game.

My hate and annoyance with her is still too high to care about what Geralt thinks, going to dump her ass as soon as possible.

Thanks for that. I was just about to do that quest.

Why is levelling up so slow in this game? :(

Also when I pick up quests from the quest board, where do I go to find them? I can only see my main quests and completed quests on the menu.

Main story quests and contracts give a lot of XP, the side quests of which there are many give much less.

I've been holding off playing this game since launch due to various reports of issues (PC), is it safe to play it now or should I hold off a bit longer until the large 1.07 patch?

I can't enter the tavern in White Orchard, since there's a horse blocking the door. ><

EDIT: Oh, blasting you with magic only makes you rear, but when I take my sword out of its scabbard you scamper? Clever girl.

The only main issue was the XP bug, but if you waited this long, waiting for 1.07 might be ok since it should be out within the next 2 weeks I'm guessing. There are some minor quest bugs that can be annoying and some people can have crashes (though there are settings to fix it).

I've heard about issues with major NPC pop-in, is it bad or has the issue been overstated?

The stuff that they have been adding every week, is any of it worthwhile? I beat the game couple weeks ago and haven't touched it since. Wondering if there's anything I should not be missing.

Finished it today. What a fantastic game! Gonna be real hard to top this game when it comes to awards later this year.

Didn't get the trophy for completing the game on normal, only the one for easy, kind of disappointing :/. Has anyone else ran into this?

The two (soon to be three) quests and the Wolf Gear Treasure Hunts are the only worthwhile DLC released so far IMO.

......... I never realized you had to download the free DLC from Steam individually?

my time with this game was predictably miscalculated and i'll have to take a break for Arkham Knight

EDIT: Wow, clicked on the wrong thread entirely. So I'll just say that about 40 hours in and this game is amazing. Though I get the sense that the main story is coming to a close for me, and that's depressing.

Unless you've been ignoring most side quests I doubt you're close to the end if you're only 40 hours in.

I did the main quest and a few of the side quests and my time clocked in at 44 hrs.

(My second playthrough right now, I am doing most of the side quests)

I've probably spent more time doing side quests actually. In terms of the main story I'm at the point where:

you lift the curse from the "ugliest man/elf dude and have to assemble a small army of bros. I used this as a good stopping point to focus on side quests for a while.

I'd say that's only about 2/3 of the way through the main quest :)
