Hopefully they fix that Ciri model. Not a fan of the new voice either.
I mean it looks on par with Hellblade 2. Not sure why people think cdpr cant match Ninja Theory in fidelity.Model looks fine to me, but this is, or at least it looked like, a CG trailer. I doubt the actual game has assets like that.

I don't have an issue with the model. I think its pretty attractive if that is the issue.Hopefully they fix that Ciri model. Not a fan of the new voice either.
Really? The guys who downgraded Witcher 3 to almost like Watch dogs levels and I don't need to say anything about Cyberpunk.I mean it looks on par with Hellblade 2. Not sure why people think cdpr cant match Ninja Theory in fidelity.
Yeah, he apparently was an animator who worked on Killing Monsters cgi video among other things. He was promoted to be a game director for Witcher 4 (and I assume sequels)This guy was just a character animator on Witcher 3, according to IMDB.

Yep yep and now they have the most technological advance game ever made.Really? The guys who downgraded Witcher 3 to almost like Watch dogs levels and I don't need to say anything about Cyberpunk.
All their trailers were big bullshots.
Yeah I can see that. It isn't that far off though.I mean it just looks like a different person than we got used to in TW3. She was already a grown adult, it doesn't make sense that she'd just randomly change like this. Maybe it's just a CG trailer thing, but it looked feasibly in game cinematic to me.

This isn't some make her a sexy bimbo thing, she already had a perfectly good model in the previous games, it just looks like a different woman

My main issue is not knowing the lore and questioning. As I played the first one. And after quick searches it seems this doesn't fit in the world.....
But there seems to be a "child of destiny" type of angle and I'm guess that is Ciri?
All this does for me is emphasize how incredibly young she was in TW3. I was 27 when that game came out, which is an age I wish I could be again lol. So 21 seems super young to be right now. Ciri looking the way she does in TW4 makes total sense to me.
I must be missing something but looks identical to 3?!Hopefully they fix that Ciri model. Not a fan of the new voice either.
Well, the scope of the games is quite different for starters.I mean it looks on par with Hellblade 2. Not sure why people think cdpr cant match Ninja Theory in fidelity.
UE5 can make great quality, that's why it is used in movies industry now. That doesn't mean that games can have the same quality now. They wrote this at the bottom - pre-rendered in-engine using RTX5090 (likely). So it wasn't real time. Knowing CDPR it could even be like 1fps and then speed up to proper frame rate (that was the case for Witcher 3 trailer).Individual models perhaps, but there's too much other things going on that makes me think this is just a target render. I don't believe this is UE5 equivalent game-engine capture.
Your facial bone structure isn't changing after 21. Aged skin is fine. She just looks different for no real reason.
NahShe looks pretty much the same if you take the same angle

Thicker eyebrows but that's about it.

I'm so so sorry that you're blind
By the time this launches we will have at least the next Xbox and maybe even PS6 which will both have GPU's on the level of 4080's, much faster CPU's and probably 48GB's of total memory along with much more mature upscaling tech like PSSR 2.0.Individual models perhaps, but there's too much other things going on that makes me think this is just a target render. I don't believe this is UE5 equivalent game-engine capture.
She's older and has been surviving alone in a nightmarish World. The second pic while more attractive isn't a good representation of that narrative. The new model is phenomenal.I mean it just looks like a different person than we got used to in TW3. She was already a grown adult, it doesn't make sense that she'd just randomly change like this. Her nose and her eyes are completely different shape, it's so obvious not the same person.I'm so so sorry that you're blind

Even with the angles not lining up perfectly, you can see that her chin, mouth, cheeks, cheekbones, temple and brow portrutions are fairly identical; the only immediate difference is the eyebrow thickness.
nope, the eyes are fairly identical too, can't say much about the nose because the angles are too different, but there doesn't seem much difference their either; the chin/mouth/cheeks lining up perfectly tells me they just took the W3 model and sculpted more detail into it.Her nose and her eyes are completely different shape
The eyes are of different shape, the brow ridge is much lower, the nose is flatter and the nostrils are more pronounced. They don't look the same at all, and if you can't tell the difference I don't know if there is anything I can do to help you.nope, the eyes are fairly identical too, can't say much about the nose because the angles are too different, but there doesn't seem much difference their either; the chin/mouth/cheeks lining up perfectly tells me they just took the W3 model and sculpted more detail into it.
The eyes are the same shape, you are being tricked by makeup, the brow ridge can't be much lower as my example shows the cheekbone, temple and the edge of the ridge all line up identically, the eyebrows are just thinner which can also radically change how someone looks.Tthe eyes are of different shape, the brow ridge is much lower
People don't like her new look cause the cheeks are way too bulbous and the lower half of her face is way too long and large. She looks deformed and uncanny. It's objectively a terrible design. They very intentionally uglified her like every other AAA studio. She's still hot (maybe not as hot as OG Ciri, but still). She just doesn't look or sound like Ciri. Ciri is already a grown adult. Sure, she could have aged a bit but her face structure reminds me weirdly of Yen more than it does Ciri. TBH the bigger issue is the new voice. Jo Wyatt was up there in voice acting in W3 with Geralt, Dijkstra, and King Emhyr.
I could see the lore stuff being an issue, but TBH Ciri was always special. Not like she's any normal human undergoing mutations. She's literally one of a kind. I'm never worried about writing when it comes to CDPR tbh

Exactly. It's clear she's older, she's not "made ugly." This overreaction in surreal. We don't even know how long it's been between 3 and 4. She will not look identical over several years, she ages just like everyone else. Then you include the trial of grasses, and who knows what else? She's matured. I think it's clear they want her to look older, more rugged, and potentially damaged. If you don't think she's "attractive" and it's a "problem", that's your opinion. But I don't think there's anything "wrong" with her at all, and plenty of others agree as well. She's also likely much older and has been confirmed to have undergone the trial of grasses. I expect the mutations and intense suffering + age had some impact on this.
