[TheGamer] Lords Of The Fallen 2 Is Already Cementing Itself As A Game For All The Wrong People

LectureMaster LectureMaster is cementing himself as the best thread maker. Phil , I mean adamsapple adamsapple , is a very close second for his crashout Xbox threads.

I sure hope no one does an IP scan to see if we're the same person or not.

As soon as I saw TheGamer in the thread title, I instantly knew there was going to be some brainrot take.

Same. I wonder how many readers they have. I would be surprised if it's a healthy number since it's obvious the people who write for them don't like games or gamers, but the site somehow keeps trucking along - so, maybe there's more of an audience for this kind of tripe than one would think. Or it's only a matter of time before we hear about lay-offs, sale or closing of the site, etc. Can't say I'd shed any tears at the latter - activists have had free reign to poison our hobby for long enough. Since all they know is how to be destructive, it's better for everyone if they have zero influence or sway.

It never ceases to amaze me how these people sound exactly like religious puritans from the 90's while simultaneously claiming to hate conservatives.

They simply hate the competition on their own brand of regressive purity politics. Same tactics. Different chapel.

There is nothing really open minded and accepting about them. There is no middle ground. No seeing the other person's point of view. It's all or nothing with them.

When asked by a user whether the game would include attractive female characters, a short and sweet "yes" was given in response, which makes it embarrassingly clear the sort of audience Lords of the Fallen 2 is trying to court.
What response would make this ass author happy then. It's so tiring to even respond to these articles.

Yeah it was a bit of a stunt. If they wanted it to be apolitical, they could have just done their thing and let the product say it. But they went for the drama and politized it all over again.

Good lord, this article, though -

Who they are trying to court? Literally everyone, bro. You put attractive people in light entertainment media. You just do.

And the way the designs of women characters have been downright conspicuous for a long time. I am all for more interesting faces. I think some really do make better character designs. But when you have something like the mary jane situation in spider-man... it's to the point where it's distracting. Not because she's so ugly or anything - most of us are that 4-7 range lol. But because the change from the old design is so stark and you can't help but think of the petty agenda behind it.

There's plenty of shame to go around now, though. Like everyone freaking the fuck out over ghost of yotei being some woke party trash all because someone there made a dumb tweet. Good god that was ridiculous.

These are the same people who want to engage in talking to young children about their sexual identity; they want to show children their sexual preferences under the guise of "pride"; they want to talk about their sexuality and sexual preferences freely and openly while advocating for whatever-free-pussy-party-hat bullshit is popular this week, but god forbid something is designed with the potential to attract straight (white) males…hold fast trannies, cause they/them gon' demonize it!

This deliberately ignores diverse and inclusive successes like Baldur's Gate 3
Yeah right, because games likes that one are to be found around every corner and getting released each month 🙄

Also, when apparently there are plenty of inclusive and progressive games out there it can't be that bad when a few aren't? Not every game has to be for every one. I don't complain about Elden Ring not offering housing or genital customisation.

Question EDF5 or EDF6? 6 is on sale and I want to know if it's better then 5.
6 is better because of some QOL improvements and the new enemies are very cool.

But the thing is, you NEED to play 5 before 6 to experience the kino at it's fullest. 5 is still a super fun game on it's own so I recommend starting with that one.

If you are new to the series start playing with the Ranger. Also worth it to just start playing on Hard since the loot on Normal sucks ass.

This deliberately ignores diverse and inclusive successes like Baldur's Gate 3, which went on to sell 20 million copies, and cherrypicks high-profile cases like Concord to justify the belief that the inclusion of queer characters and unconventionally attractive women makes a title fail.
BG3 succeeded despite having queer elements, because they focused on making a great game first. Concord made queer elements a centerpiece of what the game was about. If they spent more time on making the game systems and less time on the queer elements perhaps it would have been successful.

Same with Lords of the Fallen 2 - the game will live or die based on other things than "hot girls in skimpy outfits". The CEO is an idiot chasing low-hanging fruit, he did it with A/B type in the original game, he is doing it now. I can respect the hustle, but I will still call him out on that.

Already played 5. Wing Diver all day every day.

Oh man then you are going to have a great time with 6.

Only thing I don't like about the game is that some missions have way too much talking and waiting, for story reasons. Those get a bit tiresome in subsequent replays but still, an amazing and super fun game. And yeah it's even crazier than 5 when it comes to the few final missions.

Wrong people, chessuz christ.
Liking a game now denotes you a wrong people by their twisted mind. And there are still people who see nothing wrong with this kinda of people who infiltrated the gaming industry and hate gamers, hate games, etc.
Everytime man, everytime.

These culture wars from all sides are tiring as fuck. I don't care if a game has sexy or ugly characters, I just want good games. I'll be buying LOTF2, I don't care if the main character is hot or not.

Agree that the culture wars are tiring, but I really don't want to play a game with ugly humanoid characters.

Sorry, but if I have to look at a woke version of what they think is "pretty" for 40 hours, I'll pass.
