I also really enjoy that this entire thing is over the word "yes" in response to a fan asking "if the game would include attractive females." That's it. It wasn't "all the women in our game will be half-naked and sucking off the player." It wasn't "our game will be made exclusively for cis straight white males to fap to and everyone else should fuck off." It was "some females in our game will be attractive." Just the most utterly benign, milquetoast comment imaginable, and somehow, that's a problem.

LotF 1 was great after the big patch this year. It's my 5th most played game on PS5 with 60 hours. I loved every second of it. Felt like Bloodborne. I wasn't crazy about the idea of the lamp stuff but the way it was implemented when I played it was actually a nice addition to the formula. I played the fuck out if it until there was basically nothing left to do. I don't play shitty games and drop them quick, so with the patch the first one was a solid 8/10. I'd rate it just lower than Lies of P and on par with Wukong for enjoyment factor. If it had launched like it did when I played it, I'd call it a must play.
