NVIDIA restricts GeForce RTX 5060 press drivers, no reviews at launch?
NVIDIA is doing the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB again. The company has decided to limit access to press drivers, which effectively means limited or no coverage of the RTX 5060 at launch. This card follows the release of the RTX 5060 Ti series, which launched in both 16GB and 8GB memory configurations. However, for reasons not entirely clear, NVIDIA did not send the 8GB model to reviewers.

It was later discovered that the 8GB model is significantly weaker than the 16GB version. Not only does it struggle to keep up in most modern games at similar texture settings, but it is also heavily affected by the PCIe standard.

According to HardwareUnboxed and Igor'sLAB, NVIDIA will not release drivers until the day of the RTX 5060 launch. For most tech outlets, this means no coverage at all, as much of the press will be attending Computex when the card is released.
