how dare you insult DUGTRIO, the pokemon peepee
Hating on Dugtrio and Magneton? For shame, OP. For shame.
Real talk: Every Pokemon after Mew should be retconned, including all that mega/shiny/gigantamax BS. There are only 151 Pokemon.
I don't despise Dugtrio I just don't think 3 Diglett together should be classified as a NEW Pokémon. They should design a proper evolution or leave it alone. Same goes for magneton.I'm surprised the list wasn't longer but Dugtrio and Magneton can stay. They're fine.
Also I'm pretty firmly in the camp most anything post Gen 1 is trash.
You dare disrespect diglett?
The nerve!
Dugtrio isn't gentle. Look at their angry eyes!![]()
How can you hate on such gentle creatures![]()
Am I the only one who doesn't know what the fuck "retcon" means?

Retroactive continuity bruhhh
Tvtropes bruhhhh
Yeah I googled it and then I realized I'd stumbled into one of those annoying TV/movie/music/comic buff threads where everyone tries to out-edge/hip each other with more and more obscure references to stuff they know full well nobody has heard of.
Yes it looks completely stupid. He's forever hiding in a apple? Then that apple turns into his wings? You do know that applin is a wrym hiding in an apple, right? Hence the dragon typing.
Voltorb is great.Weird no mention of Voltorb, the pokeball pokemon.

Better then a two toned ball, that gets bigger and flips the colors.Yes it looks completely stupid. He's forever hiding in a apple? Then that apple turns into his wings?
I concur with those who say that Pokémon looking like man-made objects shouldn't exist.
But to be honest, at this point I think it would be best if GF simply reboots the whole franchise and overhauls the whole Pokédex, including redesigns for existing Pokémon (while others should be cut entirely). Some of the more iconic Pokémon can stay (though slightly redesigned), but otherwise they should start completely fresh. New Pokémon, new type chart, new art style, new moves, new anime. It's clear that GF simply can't handle that many Pokémon (how many are there now, 900?), so they should go back to 150 Pokémon, and introduce new ones over time. Relaunch the whole franchise, leave the useless baggage behind, and try to recapture the magic from 20 years ago.
Are you saying overhaul and use the original 150, or create a new set of 150? I think the problem is that the 150 were the first and therefore the simplest. Any new 150 would still have to compete with the existing 900 even if they claim it's rebooted.
