Today I just packed up my ps2 since it stopped reading any type of disc. Oh well, I'll get a ps3 eventually and my roommate has one too...

Now my xbox is doing the same thing! Same day! Correct me if i'm wrong, but xbox 360 won't play all xbox games, right?

I really don't want to replace either of them this close to the next generation, but I feel like just letting my game collections sit there is such a waste. I don't even know what the market is like for used systems, what should I do?

Well, the PS3 will be backwards compatible, so you're fine if you have a huge collection of PS2 games...except for the ones that you want to finish this instant.

Buy a refurbished PS2 or Xbox, or both, if you can.

Ah, yeah, I'm tempted to do that, but I don't think i'll be able to afford it with all of the new games coming out in the next month. Maybe I'll just stick to DS and PSP and hold out for a 360... blah, this is really getting to me.

Any details on what games will play on 360 yet?
