I've only got a Superpocket from the same company, but yeah, wouldn't buy it again. I was planning to use it to play on the toilet, but I got bored of it really quickly (doesn't help you only get a small number of games per cartridge). Not to mention I've read many people complaining about the quality of the cartridges and how they can be dead right out of the box or die on their own after enough time has passed. I assume that manufacturing them is very costly, so they are probably cutting costs on materials. Same with the screens of the handheld models - my device has some minor light bleed, but again in some cases it's already dead when you plug it in.
It's REALLY hard to compete with Anbernic devices and their vast library of free/pirated emulated games and superior performance for less money. I admit I only bought Superpocket out of nostalgia to have some favorite classics (like Team 17 Amiga games) in a boxed version to put on a shelf.
What's also shitty is that some games are "exclusives" because of licensing reasons. So for instance you can only play Capcom games which are pre-installed on certain devices or you can't play Namco games on a stationary model. The company is also limiting production of many collections and it's a huge problem if you're late to the party. For instance it's probably impossible to get a Dizzy collection right now (at least not from the scalpers).
